I don't know about South Carolina, but in the Deep South and the Appilachian area, I feel like there's a lot more potential for an anarchial, southern outlaw theme. Think about the culture here, people highly value individual liberty, have tons of weapons, etc You definitely don't want to forget about rednecks. Also having factions that come from street gangs in areas like Atlanta would be cool too.
