Young vampire here, need some guidance

The other day I rescued Serana for the first time in my Skyrim experience, went to see her father, and got banished from the castle. It's fine, because that is one of my male character who would not give in to this kind of corruption.

So I thought I would want to be a lady vampire. And this time accepted the gift from Lord Hakkor. Fun! Even downloaded Sacrosanct to go with it.

Then I realize, as a supposedly powerful vampire (or soon to be), I can't simply knock people down and suck their blood. Suddenly feeding becomes a HUGE problem for me. What do I do? Always stalking people waiting for them to sleep? Now I feel vampire is more like a curse than a power. Even though the Vampire Lord is quite nice, but I can't just use it everywhere.

Uh oh, I already have Sacrosanct installed. I wonder if it will play nice with Better Vampires. Oh good, they have a patch.

Because, frankly, feeding is even worse than I first post this post. Sacrosanct's gave me this The Beast curse that at certain hunger state I would have to kill the NPC as a result of feeding. Out of desperation, I console placeatme a neutral NPC, use the 1 a day power of seduction on him, and feed/kill him. This is as non-immersive as it gets. I ended up setting Sacrosanct hunger state from 24 hours (game hours) to 60 hours. So I don't have to worry about feeding every time I fast travel.

Should I just get rid of Sacrosanct and keep Better Vampire? It's going to lose 5 hours of progress, but that's quite nothing in the world of modded Skyrim.

The downside of Better Vampires is it then requires (last I checked) a bunch of feedings to power up and such. So there's a tradeoff with the extra features: It expects to often use them. But if that's cool, there ya go.

It's too much reading :( I am not a book person who learns from book. I learn from practices.

After suffering the horror from Sacroscanct, this part from Better Vampires looks really good

As a Vampire, you can feed on those who are asleep, paralyzed, seduced, bleeding out, or even those recently dead if you choose.

In real life, as a vampire (hypothetically), nothing would stop me to use violence to get what I want if I really want it. If I want to feed, I would find a person, knock him/her out, drag to a dark corner, and feed. Or if they prove to be combative, I can drive a knife to his/her throat, and feed. The person would be struggling, but still alive (and so is the blood). Yeah it is easily done. I don't see the appeal in stalking someone hoping they would go to sleep :(

Cmon dude the description isn't that long... Anyway Better Vampire should provide exactly what you want.

Hahaha, I did read them all. I am annoyed, but I read. Mostly I wanted to figure out why I should, or should not, mix Better Vampires with Sacrosanct. In fact, what the heck is Vanilla Vampire? I have nothing to compare to. But anyhow, I end up picking just Better Vampires (and going to redo all those quests, for the 3rd time).

Meanwhile, I am stuck with a bug that vampires in Volkihar Castle do not recognize my vampire, and feeding animation is stuck. It looks like a Vanilla bug. Gosh, someone up there is telling me to give up playing a vampire. But I paid for the game, I would want that part of the story!

God dang it! I have to restart from scratch. Now I am wondering if I still bother with vampire anymore. I mean, vampire is great on theory: immune to a lot of diseases, live forever (with a blood dependency). Sure beats the heck out of having a short life as human, prone to deal with all kind of diseases such as cancer, AIDS, and about 10+ terminal diseases. I don't think vampires would care about HIV. Victim screams "I have HIV", vampire replies "that's fine. My immune system eats up HIV"

But Skyrim vampires... Vampire Lord form I rarely use. It is very ugly, but that I can get past playing in first person. Oh, I cannot play in first person. Vampire Lord doesn't allow me to dodge (using TK Dodge) nor block (no weapon or shield) so it feels like a very weak form, even weaker than human form. And I made a mistake playing a rogue/melee character as vampire. The bonus barely helps. Maybe a caster would make use of vampirism better.

And there is just no fixing those stupid black face vampires. I kept regen Facegen data via CK and if I fix one I may break another.
