Classic Combat Armor Mark II (UPDATE: a modder made a model but we need help!)

howdy!

thanks to skilled and devoted modders we have the every classic item model in game, except these two.

i am looking for a modder to make models for combat armor mk ii and rockwell bazooka. i know its a hard task so i cant be demanding, but boy i would love to see these in game!!

i'm not asking for very complicated models, even slight alterations to in game mark 2 combat armor would work. we can start with simple color changes to in game armors if you want.

rockwell bazooka doesnt have to super detailed, i'm leaving these two images as reference:

armor: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/8/80/CBTARMR2.gif/revision/latest?cb=20150425212608

bazooka: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Rocket_launcher_(Fallout)?file=Fo1_Rocket_Launcher.png

EDIT: so i found some very good 3d visuals of the mentioned items

rocket launcher: https://media.moddb.com/cache/images/mods/1/35/34665/thumb_620x2000/.62.png

combat armor: https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/1151/2331486-1491253846.png

as you can see, bazooka model is rather simple compared to detailed models of rocket launchers in sci-fi games. if it comes too troubling we can skip some of the metal lining to ease the workload. i think we can edit the current missile launcher for this. remove the bulky controller device (mid area) and we already have the most the model ready. size has to be slightly bigger i think. just need to add the "tip" in the image, and a mini scope and we are done.

combat armor image was added for reference, we dont have to copy it but we can just make adjustments to in game combat armor model instead. most important part is the color scheme, pants have to be brown and armor part has to be military green. the most important part is shoulders, they have to be more circular like in the image and slightly smaller in size. i dont think other parts need adjustment. backpack can be skippable, oh and we definitely need simple glove textures.

UPDATE: well, by using xzax's backpack and arnoroll's base model i managed to assemble (notice the word assemble, i take zero credit) something that looks from fo2!

the mods used (many thanks to the authors for their outstanding work)

backpack: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35411 (by xzax)

base model: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/36971 (by arnoroll)

here are some screens (ignore the glove textures, i messed them up)

1. https://pasteboard.co/HrKmX4w.jpg 2. https://pasteboard.co/HrKn3au.jpg 3. https://pasteboard.co/HrKn1f5.jpg

now we just need a color edit and slightly larger and wider pauldrons! armor color must be a lighter variant of green and pants must be brown. pauldrons must resemble the 3d image i added to first post. if making them wider is difficult just increasing the size by 20-30% would do the trick (i think).

OR we can just make pauldrons of the default mark1/2 model smaller, so that it doesnt look oversized

so come on guys! any volunteers?

Fantastic 0_0

I can give a try, but NEVER Never count on me for textures.

i'd love that! i think default textures can work, i can edit the color to make it match the picture.

as for missile launcher: i found these two in nexus: https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/130/images/62112-1-1468724595.jpg https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62112?tab=images&BH=1

they are from the SP weapon pack. i think they can work as base model what do you guys think? i can ask for permission. well they are very similar to classic rocket launcher anyway.

I smash some armors here, to see if I was able to reproduce this image.

It looked similar, but you really need to find someone to make the textures for you.

holy crap that looks awesome! if i may, i'd like to criticize some parts of the model. as i said, i'm very pleased with it, but i don't think you have to copy the exact model. for example that brown lining (forgot the correct word for it) at the middle can be removed, along with the neck cover. i believe the groin protector has to be placed lower, covering the genitals (or you can remove it completely, your call).

you did great work with the pauldrons, maybe they can be slightly more circular in appearance, but thats not a big deal. and one last thing, that dark, plastic looking armor part beneath the pauldrons look really nice, i think it can be added to the other areas on upper body like in the picture (hands, arm pits and forearms).

yeah lets see if i can find a volunteer for this beautiful model. i think should add xzax's backpack to the model too, he already gave permission as long as we credit him. i messaged to author of gruntening combat armor so that we can use his textures for some parts of the model.

oh and thank you very much. i truely loved how this turned out

i found another 3d model as guideline https://www.moddb.com/mods/twoc/images/na1878451 the color scheme looks perfect for what i had in my mind

This is a mod? Why not just download this instead of making a new one?

unfortunately this is one of the "yet to be released" mods that never saw daylight. modders publish these pictures so that people are hyped (excited) and as a fancy way of introducing the mod.

i dont want to put more pressure on you, if all of these start feeling too much you can just edit the pauldrons of arnoroll's model and we can pause here. but to be fair i really liked your custom model, you really managed to capture the look of "classic fo2 combat armor".
