DocWatcher, aspect of the Wander, observed the incident through multiple senses. The relatively small OblivionGate flared into existence in a hard area of the DC Wastelands close to the DC ToxinSwamps where swampdeaths glided amphibiously through the murky swamp waters. Radghouls shambled through the mess, being sometimes devoured by monsters but not too often as they were found to be of low nutritional quality by predators including superpredators.

A humanoid dremora warrior, magical armour and weapons not working fully, stepped out first and an expression of shock came over his face that was a kind not normal to his kind. Then came two naked, strange, reddish scamps who stopped just as abruptly as had the bigger humanoid.

The dremora spoke, coldly but without being able to hide a strong hint of discomfort even fear. "One of you summon a fireball of greatest power, that you can, and launch it anywhere."

One of the smaller, less human looking scamps, threw a weak version of a fireball that did not get far before fizzling out.

The terribile howling noise, of a swampclaw, echoed through the growing dusk with clumps of pale glowing, mutated, growths becoming more prominant. The muffled sounds of gunfire came from the distance.

The dremora scowled. "This is not Tamriel and we are now leaving."

The three humanoids fled back through the OblivionGate that began to close at slowly, the speed hindered by local conditions of natural laws. It closed, yes, but some critters managed to scuttle through it first. MehruneDagon's home realm of Dagonus had just gained some interesting new ferals to their population. DocWatcher was curious to what the implications of the incident would be for Dagonus and its exotic entities.

JackOman 'returned' to RivetCity along with his three bodyguards that were in a sense new but now remembered generally as always having been there. Three others of the JOman13, of MasterOman, remained in the outpost rapidly becoming the new DCFA main base though RivetCity remained the primary secondary one.

MasterMany continued to focus on the new base and directing-coordinating-supervising operations there while keeping it as secure as possible. Some areas were further sealed off but one was opened up to reveal a pleasingly positive discovery.

MadamExplorer was still in the DC linked LifeSanctuary where she was quietly meeting with others there and gaining valuable information to assist with the quest that the Wanderer was on that world to complete, that is a quest with many subquests and sidequests.

MrWalker was assisting people in the ruins of the South East Asian city of HongKong.

MrsMystery first entered TechVault101, in DC, through a subtle, tricky, manipulation of time to become somebody who had been there for a long time being one Francine Baker. She was so highly valuable to the techvault that even the PrimeOverseer had to be careful when dealing with her; this was, of course, no accident. Francine befriended a young Jasmine, Amanda, Tommy and other members of the BratPack101.

MissGaia was busy helping to set up a new, well hidden, secured and working GaiaInstitute Base.

MissFortune, and her people, ambushed a Pakraider group and managed to capture three of the beserkers that were one kind of Pakraiders. With a little difficulty she learned some disturbing facts about the Pakraiders and Brinkcity that they came from. There were more than one kind of Pakraiders representing each one faction on-in the floating, domed, supercity of Brinkcity as controlled largely by the 'BrinkInstitute'; this was its common, but not true, name.

MrStranger observed the final battle, of a war, between Oblama's Federacy and the EagleEnclaven as both retreated while licking their wounds. The Federacy were made up of quasiliving green plastic humanoids of different levels of sophistication, the minority of hiplastinoids being elite of small minority, the midplastinoids being special of large minority and the loplastinoids being the general majority. They were toy 'Blue Plastic Soldiers' materialised which probably meant that the Confederacy was made up of 'Grey Plastic Soldiers' materialised. What then of other 'colour coded armies, from that heavily modded version of a computer game, such as tan and green?

Having observed the brief opening-closing of a small OblivionGate, DocWatcher moved on to observe other incidents; so far there was but one DocWatcher aspect materialised.

The other four aspects, of the Wanderer, had still yet to materialise.

Forgot to put DocWatcher in the last post written prior to this one, #42, but this has now been corrected.

The big crater centered settlement of Megaton was attacked by a large group of drug crazed raiders but newly emplaced defences, and upgraded older ones, meant most of them dying in a hail of gattling-gun fired bullets. The attackers had come from the nearbye ruins of the small city of Springvale being from the large Springvale School of Excellence. Giant radants, having skeletons and other augmentations for increased size, were a major threats in the city along with some others apart from the large number of raiders. That kind of radant spat acid that burned terribly.

Godzilla was detected, by Japanese drones, swimming close to the shores of one of the Japanese Islands. The deep underground Japanese survivors had no intention of going up to meet him, or other great radmonsters like him, but what about all the surface-subsurface survivors?

Inspired by the capture of a strange laser-musketrifle of a Federate soldier, Phillip Phillip managed to make his own, cruder, version of one being the first crank-action laser musket. Phillip Phillip would end up passing on his design to the Minutemen of NewEngland; it would become their 'signature weapon'.

3Dog gained resources from a mysterious benefactor and starts the expansion of the Galaxy News Station to have increased 3Dradio range and some limited 3DTV broadcasting. Ironside Mercenaries were contracted to protect the Galaxy News Tower including its settlement of Radiotown. More people joined his staff that previously included 2Kitty, MrDC the robot, Alfred the android and the radhuman TechnoTriplets.

UncleLeo, the behamoth supermutant, escaped from TechVault083 along with a large entourage of mixed nature. As the normally gentle giant continued to travel other joined his 'following' being also of an unusual assortment. This included Lilly the dancing behemoth ballerina, the Calculation Brothers and the BoxerBoys.

In low orbit, above the remains of Cape Kennedy, a Skynet spacefort went from semiactive to fully active.

The very first edition of the DCWastelands Almanac was published and began being distributed across the DCWastelands. Each copy-edition becomes highly valued.

The first 13 parachute copperish cubecanisters fell from the high sky, being one relatively big, three relatively medium and nine relatively small; even the 'small' were quite large. They landed on the large Australian island of Tasmania. They were full of basic survival equipment-supplies.

27.1[38]

A political backlash saw RivetCity restored as the main base of the DCFA. The DCGrandMall establishment would be a major secondary base. MasterMany was not pleased but gracefully accepted. JackOman found himself being heavily questioned, by the newly established DCFA Oversight Council, on the activities of MasterMany. Thus MasterOmany manifested, materialised, three more aspects that would remain in RivetCity to work with the new DCFA Authority. They were JamesOman, JakesOman and JalesOman who were soon dealing with DCFA Authority (DCFAA) bureaucrats and petty politicians, being often the same people.

JackOman, and Sanshaw, along with others of an assembled team, were soon trying to discover what might lie below RivetCity being below what had already been discovered. They ran into dead end after dead end until a hunch had them going into what was supposed to be just a large collection of big, carved out, stone chambers never really used. They trod through what turned out to be a maze designed to confuse, and perhaps turn back, people.

With their lights being the only source of illumination, the team moved across a great chamber with water flowing through it at shin level. Then they all halted in amazement for ahead of them, majestic and alien, was a statue of a great goddess type figure with six arms, two heads, sitting in full lotus position. She had six breasts and was naked with two great, vaguely bird like, wings spread out from her. The statue was about nine metres high.

JackOman spoke. "One of the ancient ZaZeZiZoZu Goddesses of which there were, are, five. There dwelt, at one time deep in the past, a strange people in this area. That was before the first AmeraIndians came here and when they did the strange people were long gone except for some odd ruins plus a few statues. The strange people dwelt on other parts of this world. They were fairly wise, in some ways, but also foolish."

Scully, of the XFAIA, spoke then. "They left behind great tunnel networks often of unusual layout and apparently no logical use. They always built statue-gates at the edges of them in which the statues hid the gates while being part of the gates."

Mulder nodded. "They used to dress their statues with robes, making them more modest, but clearly the last roboes vanished with the people so very long ago."

Sanshaw sighed. "Now we will have to get it to open."

JackOman cried out words of an ancient language that sounded oddly like birds singing in some ways. The massive statue moved to one side, very quietly, and soon showed a great opening.

JackOman nodded. "Yes, was here before and the Zaeiou People taught me how to open the statue-gates. They were a very clever people but not greatly wise. Still, they did do their best as they searched to find some truly ancient dangerous artefacts and to destroy them. They were doing so because they helped create the corrupt, corrupting, devices in the first place. How did the XFAIA find out about such matters?"

Sanshaw smiled, in her bodyarmour and fatigues. "You told them about the Zaeiou in the first place."

JackOman grinsmiled. "Oh, yes, I forgot!" Then he frowned. "No, I didn't. This smells of something, somebody, familiar who would choose to 'tease' me so. Yes, come out and show yourself!"

A bodyarmoured figure, a general worker-guard, shimmered and stood as a tall woman much like JackOman in many ways. She smiled. "MissHarlequin, of the Wanderer, but you can call me JillOman the twin sister of JackOman."

So it was that time was altered so that to most there would have always been a JillOman along with a JackOman. JackOman frowned softly but then shrugged it off. "Yes, my beloved twin sister who had best behave herself."

The attractive JillOman, that is handsomely so as JackOman was, smiled. "Would I do otherwise, sweetie?"

JackOman only sighed.

27.2[39]

The XFAIA people, in the group, were Scully, Mulder, Dogget and three others. There were eleven Wanderer provided clonehumans along with five BSoS Steelscouts, JackOman and his people, JillOman, and five assorted others. It was a fairly large group with the support of five androids and 20 assorted robots. Most of the robots were upgraded, augmented, eyebots.

They found a long 'deserted' underground city of the Zaeiou that was of building facades with the major parts of them being dug into wall areas. There were balconies, rampways, statues and other features some of them most amazing. The Zaeiou may have gone long ago but there were humans, pale furred morlocks, animal-human hybrid animans and a few other kinds of folk. This including friendly radghoul like people known as radrhouls who were less damaged looking than radghouls or radghoulmans.

The people had a mix of technologies from lotech knives, and bows, but also some higher tech and even some exotic technologies left over from the Zaeiou.

Captain Granger, of the BSoS, stood in his power armour next to JackOman. "We will need to take those strange devices from them for our people to study."

JackOman responded dryly. "There will be no 'taking' of anything. If the locals wish to have fair trade then so be it. I am in command of this operation, Granger, so you best be careful with your words and actions."

Granger scowled. "They are but primitives."

JackOman responded again. "Then why are a few of the sentries in power armour that appears to be much like that of your own order, if not upgraded versions of them. A few of them appear to have come down from the Wastelands or even from Predoomsday USA. Even their so called lotech is quite sophisticated in nature. No, they are not 'primitive'. There is no 'Captain Granger' in the BSoS let alone in this expeditionary group so who-what are you really?"

The fake Granger responded in turn. "Be wary of MasterMany but also help her for she is loyal but is in a bind. That is 'help her to help herself'. Use your exotic resources both more often and more thoroughly than you have been."

Then 'he' was gone almost as if he had never been there.

JackOman sighed, knowing that he had been visited by an Eldermost and that only JillOman also knew that 'he' had 'sort of' been there.

27.3[40]

JackOman had six copper, and two silvery giftercanisters, the true name for the flatcanister shaped devices, expand-open and gave over the contents to the locals. From the copper ones came general survival stuff but from the two silvery ones came more sophisticated, more specialised, hitech equipment-supplies.

Surprised, and grateful, the local leadership was quick to express its gratitude as it could. They called themselves Deepfringers as in being both deep livers and on the very fringes of society. They were not the only such community of those who had escaped from the brutality of the Wastelands and they were in contact with those other who were in turn in contact with other factions. It was the first time that JackOman, and the Wanderer, learned of a deep subway network well below the official one of the general populace. It appeared that secret inner government, and TechCorps, had built the secondary subway network that became known as the deepway. The reasons were many, for the deepway to be built, but were linked to the construction of the techvaults, deepbunkers and other sites.

JackOman spoke with three of them of the big community. "We would like your people to become part of the DC Free Alliance, the DCFA. While your isolation, and defences, have made you secure so far, they will not prove to be enough in future. DCRegulators could be posted here along with Steelguards, medical people and others. Will we want something in return, of course, but mostly we desire information."

Captain Yanson, the real leader of the BSoS people in the group, spoke then. "We know that threats, to the DC, may easily come through this way so we helping ourselves while helping you. Things are hotting up, overhead, and may reach even here since much of that actions appears to be going on underground and getting deeper."

Sandersam spoke, his craggy face showing marks of a near miss from a powerful laser beam. "Well, we could make a deal. The three of us represent a faction wishing to improve matters amongst the Deepfringers but most of them fail to see the common sense of what we offer. Given enough top class military gear, along with a few battle robots, we could make them see sense."

Sanshaw spoke. "We do not get involved in the internal fairs of others and certainly do not support those like yourself to oppress your own people."

JackOman nodded. "You can stop 'testing' us, Sandersam, and tell us why you were doing so."

Sandersam sighed. "An outsider influence got to some of our less wiser people. There was a short, bloody, conflict and then the repairing began; that is not just of things but of people and lives. Those suits of power armour were provided to the rebels by somebody pretending to represent the BrotherSisterhood of Steel but later we gained convincing data from another that this was false. This other also helped us defeat the rebels and bring most of them down with out hurting them for they were 'brain washed' somehow."

JackOman frowned. "It appears that very ancient, powerful, subtle forces are involved with what is happening on this world. The GreatOsoEnemy is active here, through the SecretOsoEnemy both being of the GreatOsoisi who once ruled much of the greater existence through a most terrible, and oppressive, greater empire of lesser empires. That is the GreatOsoEmpire. That whole 'time' was swept back so that it never happened but the GreatOsoEnemy escaped though very much weakened; it assumed it did so through its own cunning but this was not so for certain matters remained unresolved. When resolved, the GreatOsoEnemy will be swept back out of existence along with its multiple expressions."

Sandersam frowned. "That sounded very deep, and meaningful, but I would not wish to be involved in such goings on."

JackOman laughed. "MasterMimic can cease to be so clever now."

Sandersam sighed. "Well, MasterOman, you got me now. Yes, I was the one who assisted the Deepfringers against the rebellion as fostered by the SecretOsoEnemy. It was touch and go for a while and it seemed that the rebels might win but then came very strange assistance in the form of surviving Zaeiou."

JillOman came to them and sat down with them. Others there had not heard the words about Sandersam being one of the MasterMimic's 13 aspects. JillOman also heard it, she in her Wanderer's fashion.

JillOman spoke. "As suspected, JackOman, at least one in ten of those here are elemental shapechangers of Zaeiou, including some of the androids and robots. I wonder just how many Zaeiou are out there, where they are and just what they have been doing."

Sandersam nodded. "There are about a dozen thousand dotted through out the Underways, including some of the Deepfringer settlements. There are those, beneath the DCGrandMall, who with others are trying to stop the very ancient secrets from being disturbed let alone stolen; amongst them are the descendents of those who went in the very secret tracksub expedition to deep beneath the DCGM including one William Bell. That is William Bell, a dark twisted genius, who long ago vanished along with his entourage. They vanished into the unknown depths beneath the 'hub' of the DCGrandMall, going into what is known as the 'Weirding'."

Changed 'Harlequin' to 'MissHarlequin'

28.1[41]

MasterOman, MissHarlequin and MasterMimic were in the DeepFringer community along with DCFA people and the Deepfringers including Zaeiou heavily guised as other kinds of entities.

MasterMany continued to be in the secondary DCFA base and to be very busy.

MadamExplorer departed from the DC linked LifeSanctuary.

MrWalker, now as 13, continued to be in HongKong dealing with SecretOsoEnemy generated troubles including groups of mutant bandits.

MrsMystery, in TechVault101, helped to deal with an outbreak of unusually large, savage, radroaches that turned out to be far from accidental. The Exterminators101 are created and, with specialised gear, help greatly to defeat that first outbreak. The BratPack101 are heavily involved with the Exterminators101 except for Amanda, the daughter of the PrimeOverseer, who is forbidden to be part of it.

MissGaia was still helping the GaiaInstitute.

MissFortune, and MrStranger, turned out to both be aspects of WayHero along with 11 others emerging in DC. WayHero was an aspect of the Wanderer.

DocWatcher continued to observe, as 13, incidents across parts of that world but was focused largely on the US East Coast and even more so on the DC.

That now meant that 10 Wanderer aspects had fully appeared, arisen, with three more yet to do so. Yet one, for very good reason, would never arise-appear publicly for that one was the achoring core of the Wanderer. So that meant there were actually two to arise or was that really the case?

I am trying to get greater drive to complete a novel and am using these writing to formulate, refine and organise ideas. Feedback would be most welcome, even if only in the form of emoticons, for both these writings and the novel.

Thanks!
