DAO Crashing at Ostagar

So I just started playing Dragon Age Origins with some mods that I got today and at the same point at Ostagar after I'm done talking with the kennel master the game just crashes and I get sent back to the Nexus Mod Manager where it has all my mods and says "launch Dragon Age" at the top.

The mods I have installed go as followed

-Character respec Mod v1_-14

-dao_extradogslot_1_41-664

-Dragon Age Redesigned -686

-JB3textures

-jwv_expanded_inventoryv11-23

-Madd Gift Guide

-More Hairstyles

-Morrigan Restoration pack

-No Helmet Hack 1_6 Origins-202

-Ser Gilmore companion NPC - Fully Voice

-Skip the Fade

-White Teeth

I have all of these mods installed and activated except for "White Teeth" reason why is I'm gonna try running the game with less and less mods until it doesn't crash.

Where Do I Keep Crashing?

At Ostagar after I talk to the kennel master and muzzel the mabari, I then walk towards Daveth and the girl he is talking to and a couple steps away from the kennel master and BOOM my game freezes for just a bit and next thing i know is I'm back at the Nexus Mod manager.

Not able to "resume" or "load" any save in Ostagar but i can load the autosave in the plyacteri chamber (I did the magi origin story)

Should mention

I do have the DAO mod manager downloaded from nexus, but I just use the normal nexus mod manager and launch the game from there.

I don't have a solution to your issue, but I will note that Dragon Age Redesigned cannot and should not be installed with the Nexus mod manager... it's not a 'conventional' mod, in that it is packaged as an executable installer rather than as loose files or a DAzip. Your list is also missing the prerequisite for DA Redesigned, Tucked Hair. (That's not available on the Nexus, but if you search for 'tucked hair tmp7704', it should be easy to find.)

And best of luck getting things sorted... hopefully someone smarter than me will be along with some suggestions or info!

theskymoves thank you for the help I actually started testing some stuff out and the game works after deactivation character respect mod and madd gift guide. I didn't know about tucked hair or that Dragon Age Redesigned needed DAOMM but I look now look further into it as even though my game isn't crashing anymore I am now experiencing some glitches.

No. Dragon Age Redesigned does NOT need or use DAO-Modmanager. It installs, as I mentioned previously, via an executable installer.

If you are experiencing 'glitches', it's probably because mods haven't been properly installed. I suggest carefully reviewing the ReadMe documents/install instructions for every mod, and following those instructions. At the same time, I'd also double check to make certain that no other prerequisite/required mods are missing.

But it is good that your game isn't crashing any longer... that's a step in the right direction.

Oh! I also meant to add that there may be issues with using both White Teeth and JB3 textures, as the latter mod also replaces the base-game face textures.

To use them together, you should remove the following textures from the JB3 folder:

uh_hed_dwfa_0d.dds
uh_hed_elfa_0d.dds
uh_hed_fema_0d.dds
uh_hed_infa_0d.dds
uh_hed_masa_0d.dds
uh_hed_olda_0d.dds
uh_hed_quna_0d.dds
uh_hed_sica_0d.dds

Thanks so much for this! I started to have the same issue but when I disabled Character Respec & removed Madd Gift Guide, everything was ok in Ostagar
