weird combat sound desync issue

Recommended Posts

my game seems to be running "perfectly" most of the time but as soon as combat starts related sounds get a 5+ second desync, i cant switch weapons with hotkeys but i can use hotkey stimpacks and opening my pipboy[readius] during combat freezes the game. Anyone know what may be causing this?

"Audio de-syncing" is a form of "stuttering". Audio, video, and mouse all interact with each other. The GTX1050 comes with either 2 or 3GB of "buffer" memory. (Whenever the manufacturer avoids the marketing term "VRAM", it's a bad sign. The mitigating factor is that it is GDDR5 memory, which is very fast.) Laptops generally use "system memory" for their video pipeline, removing that from becoming available to the game.

I notice you are heavy on texture replacements. As you didn't specific any RAM size (either system or video) I can only guess it is having an impact. Please see the wiki "Display resolution versus Image Size" article.

Your load order is not properly sorted. ("Interior Lighting Overhaul - Core.esm" should not come before "GunrunnersArsenal.esm" for starters.) Please see the 'Maximizing use of memory', 'Third Rule: The Rule of One', 'Essentials for Getting Started', 'Vanilla "Load Order"', 'Game INI files', and 'Restoring to "Vanilla"' entries in the 'First Timer Advice' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. Then see the 'Common Problems" section.
