Basically I got the mark of caesar but shortly after that boone decided to give me his personal quest soon after and a lot of legionaries died and i lost my favor with them. Is there a mod or console command that can reset the legion to be nonhostile so i can enter the fort to speak with caesar and benny as the reputation console commands dont work. i dont mind if there isnt a fix since i was planning on taking ou the legion anyway, just wanted to be able to hear caesar's story.

well , the title is rather misleading , as the mark of caesar does make the legion not hostile towards you (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Mark_of_Caesar)

as for your question , look here http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_console_commands

the first set of console commands are about player reputation . so try using these to reset your reputation , get rib of Boone , and be sure not to wear NCR armors . with all of these you should be fine to try messing with the Legion

not sure if there is a console command to set the entire faction to non hostile

maybe if you add yourself to their faction via console command , it will stop them being hostile . but I've never tried it , so I can't confirm if it will work

the only command regarding hostility that I've seen needs to be applied to every actor individually , so it's not going to be easy or enjoyable to do

Sorry that the title is misleading, didnt know how else to word it without it being too long. Ive tried everything regarding reputation changing, is there a command not listed on this page that will allow you to remove yourself from 1 faction as opposed to all at once cause if there is I might try temporarily adding myself as a member of the legion to see if that will cease hostilities.

How hard did you look?

Not a mod, but the first result from a google search

New Vegas Console Commands

addreputation <base_id> <variable> <amount> – adds player reputation with faction; the value will max out at its normal maximum value of 100. The variable will determine if the amount is added to the player's fame (1) or infamy (0) with the faction.

removereputation <base_id> <variable> <amount> – removes player reputation with faction; the value will max out at its normal minimum value of 0. The variable will determine if the amount is subtracted from the player's fame (1) or infamy (0) with the faction.

setreputation <base_id> <variable> <amount> – sets player reputation with faction; the value will max out at its normal minimum and maximum values of 0 and 100. The variable will determine if the amount is set for the player's fame (1) or infamy (0) with the faction.

_________________________________

Examples:
addreputation 000ffae8 1 5 – adds 5 fame to the Boomers faction.

removereputation 000ffae8 0 5 – removes 5 infamy from the Boomers faction.

setreputation 000ffae8 1 5 – sets player's fame with the Boomers faction to 5.

Note: If a player wishes to obtain an idolized reputation with any faction, they must both increase fame value to 90 and reduce infamy value to below 4.
Note If you increase your reputation with Caesar's Legion, while having Boone as a companion, you will cause him to question the Courier, or just leave.
Note you can only edit the Reputation in intervalls of 0-5, because you cannot skip ranks (and you would go from neutral to Idiolized/Villifed if you add 100, the game cant handle that so its limited to a maximum of 5points per command)

___________________________________________________________________________________________
removefromallfactions – removes the Courier from all factions. Also removes them from the 'Player' faction. Use player.AddToFaction 0001b2a4 1 to fix. Remember to also re-add the DLC player factions: xx00b42e for Honest Hearts, xx016154 for Old World Blues, and xx003e41 for Lonesome Road.

setally <base_id_1> <base_id_2> <variable_1> <variable_2> – sets factions allied status with each other. The variable will determine the status of each faction to the other: 0=friend, 1=ally.

setenemy <base_id_1> <base_id_2> <variable_1> <variable_2> – sets factions enemy status with each other. The variable will determine the status of each faction to the other: 0=enemy, 1=neutral.

Example:
setally 000fed3f 00154307 1 0 – Will set Boomers allied status for BoS to allies, and BoS allied status for Boomers to friends.

there is this command

removefromfaction <faction id>

but this is meant for NPCs

try Player.removefromfaction <faction id> , maybe that'll work . but I really have no idea if it will

other than that , I didn't see any other console command , but I didn't really scan through the whole page , nor am I familiar with most of the console commands in the game

Let me know if it works.

Okay so the setally console command worked in that the legion isnt hostile anymore but now i have the problem that caesar and the other named npcs in the fort refuse to initiate dialogue, the named npcs just look at me and spout generic dialogue and trying to speak to caesar will cause the camera to start zooming in as if he is about to talk but it then zooms back out again without a word.

Yes because when you are perma' vilified by the Legion, all of your legion quests fail and due to the fact that the dialogue of Caesar is coordinate by the quest, there is the "zooming in as if he is about to talk but it then zooms back out again without a word." problem.
