I've modded Fallout NV with a bunch of mods and added an ENB at the end (DYNAMBO ENB https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53521/?)

I believe I have followed all the necessary requirements for each of these mods but am presented with no menu upon start-up, or if I disable nevada skies (as someone online suggested) I dont even get to where the menu is meant to be, it freezes and continues to play the menu music instead.

My FNVEdit says this after running it: [00:02] Background Loader: Fatal: <EOSError: System Error. Code: 2.

The system cannot find the file specified>

I don't know what to do with the info or where to begin fixing this mess :/

* Move any "inactive" plugins out of the game "Data" folder. They count against the "plugin cap" because they get loaded by the game engine if found, and can cause "Missing Master" problems. Please see the wiki "Missing Masters" article if you get that error message.

The following entries in the wiki 'Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting' guide specifically address known Win10 problems:
* 'Issue: NVSE - fails to load after update KB4058043 to Win10 FCU (v1709)'
* 'Issue: Vanilla game Hangs on startup'; specifically "Cause-1" regarding DirectX9 drivers.
* 'Issue: "Full screen mode" exhibits CTDs and stutters or micro-stutters'
* 'Issue: Recent (post-Win10 FCU) CTDs after 10-20 minutes of play'
* 'Issue: Lag or "micro stutters" even with "New Vegas Stutter Remover" installed (or not)'. (Regardless of whether or not NVSR is actualy installed.) In particular "Cause-4" regarding video card settings. The latest video drivers may not be the best suited to an older game like FNV. All vendors drop testing of old games at some point. Backwards compatibility is never guaranteed, much less "optimization".
Also, "Cause-7" regarding "Superfetch" and "File search indexing". Windows updates will often reset these back on.
* 'Issue: Win10 Screen tearing in "Borderless Windowed Mode"'
* 'Issue: ENB Support for Windows versions later than Win7'
* 'Issue: Problems using ENB/SweetFx on Windows 10'

Ok so I made it so there is only one Nevada Skies esp file, and got the compatability file for WMX and Weapon Retexture Project
Now instead of no menu the game crashes on the first screen (the one with the box of text info) while the menu music continues to play in the background.
FNVEdit also picks up no errors :/

Be aware that one error may mask a number of other errors, which will not appear until those masking them have been resolved. Building a stable game consists of resolving each problem individually until none remain, and then realizing that every change you make thereafter (including updates to mods already installed) run the risk of introducing new problems. Be prepared to revert to a previous save if you do so.

Please see the 'Solutions to Starting the game problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

If you are getting a CTD, then you should be also getting an entry in your "Windows Event Viewer". Please see the "Windows Error Messages" section of the wiki "How to read most Bethesda game error logs" article.

In general terms: if you can't get to the main menu, then you have either installed something that broke the XML files needed to display that menu (such as a UI replacement like DarNUI, etc.), or are missing something essential for the game such as the correct version of the D3D9.DLL file. If you had previously been successful testing mods after installing them, then it is most likely a "Missing Master" problem. Please see the wiki "Missing Masters" article if you get that error message and the 'Solutions to Starting the game problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

* You are running both "Unofficial Patch Plus" (UPP) and "Unofficial Patch NVSE" (UPNVSE). As UPNVSE is intended to provide the "pure bugfixes" of UPP without the "tweaks to gameplay", it is not stated but implied that they make many of the same "fixes". That will likely bring them into conflict. In addition UPNVSE stops just short of requiring YUP. As you don't have any equivalent alternative to YUP installed, it would appear you are missing the needed bugfixes it provides.

* You really need to use a "Merge Patch File" with that collection of mods. Please see the 'Third Rule: The Rule of One' and 'Merge Patch File' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.

As for "too many plugins": you are pushing the limit. Try reducing the number of "active" plugins down to 130 as a test and see how it goes. If you haven't already, please see the "TTW FAQ" for any known incompatibilities.

If that is not enough to resolve your problem, Please provide ALL the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article. Don't forget to identify things that do not appear in the "load order", such as NVSE and it's related plugins, texture replacements (specifically their larger image sizes: 1024x1024, etc.), and "post-processors" like ENB or SweetFX.

That said, I didn't think just reducing the number of active plugins was likely to solve the problem, so let's set that aside for the moment.

I have no experience with the "SexOut" series of mods, but suspect they have to install their own XML files to provide menus and select poses (which fall into the category of "HUD-UI-Menu issues"). Open the related mod archives, and look for any "Menus" subfolders that would be installed.under "Data". Those probably contain "*.XML" files, which add or modify the menu system. If they are present, then you need to do a couple of things to test is they are the cause of the problem. This is not materially different than "mod isolation" except you have a target suspect. The basic problem is laid out in the wiki "HUD-UI-Menu issues" article, but it does not cover "SexOut" in specifics. (If you do identify it as the source of the problem, let me know and I will investigate it.)

1. Uninstall the mod (or mods) which contains those XML files. By this I mean not merely "disable/uncheck", but uninstall from the game "Data" folder using your mod manager.

2. You then need to restore the vanilla XML files, which generally means using the "verify local files" command. This will probably then require you to re-install other mods which also overwrote vanilla files (even though they are not related to this issue). Please see the 'Restoring to "Vanilla"' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article as well.

3. Re-install and TEST each mod that the "verify" process broke but leave out the "SexOut" mods with the XML files. If this isn't easily done, just re-install all of them, but one at a time and test between. This is the only way to ensure you know which mod is causing the problem if it wasn't the "SexOut" mods. (I know this is more time-consuming, but it's actually shorter in the long run because it is the definitive way to determine the culprit.)
