Fallout New Vegas TTW DC Super Mutants Not Equipping Assault Rifles or Chinese Assault Rifles

Been having a problem with the DC Super Mutants not equipping assault rifles or Chinese assault rifles in DC while using TTW. The Super Mutants are spawning with said weapons, but do not use them and instead opt to charge me with their fists. Anything I've found online about this problem suggests it has something to do with Project Nevada, which I do not have installed. The mutants have no problem shooting me with other weapons, its just the assault rifles that pose a problem. Any advice on how to fix this issue would be appreciated!

At 138 plugins you are pushing the "plugin cap". That might cause the problem you are seeing. I notice you have a number of "inactive" plugins present as well. Move those out of the "Data" folder as a first step. They count against the "plugin cap" because they get loaded by the game engine if found, and can cause "Missing Master" problems. (Please see the wiki "Missing Masters" article if you get that error message.) If that isn't enough, try reducing the active plugin count down to under 130 just to test if the problem resolves itself. IF it does, then try adding them back one at a time and testing to determine where your system's limit rests.

Most of the Plugins that are inactive are due to my bashed patch switching them off. my active plugin count is actually 117. Is it possible to continue using plugins that are merged into the bashed patch without them being in the data folder? Also, I've experienced this same problem in previous runs while using under 100 total plugins, so I doubt it is the number of plugin that is the problem. Nevertheless I'll slim it down and see if this is the problem anyway. Thanks for the response!

You aren't using the Wrye Flash "auto-ghosting" feature if those deactivated plugins are still showing up. It adds a ".ghost" extension to them so they remain there but the game doesn't attempt to load them. Please see the wiki "Bashed Patch file with Marked Mergeables" article.

I didn't see any plugin that is known to cause the particular problem you are having, but as I haven't played TTW as yet that doesn't mean much. Cleaning up the "plugin cap" can't hurt things, but if the problem persists you might want to ask the TTW Support people if they have any ideas. However, their site is having some issues at the moment. (Just checked; the forums page is there but empty.) You may need to have some patience.

Meanwhile the only real alternative is to engage in some 'Mod Conflict Isolation' as laid out in that section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article.
