Game freezing and crashing

So my game often crashes or freezes and infinite loading screens, sometimes right after i start a new save.

This is incribly frustrating and i've tried everything to fix it, my load order is roughly based on nordic0cold's mod guide.

I think it's a load order problem because i've reinstalled both game and mods several times.

Using LOOT doesn't fix it either, in fact that's where the problems began and when i tried to manually fix my load order it still got stuck in infinite loading screen.

My pc specs are: Intel i7, 16Gb RAM, Nvidia GTX 745

Dozens of things could be the cause of your constantly CTD. I do not think anybody would be able to download / install the same load order you got to reproduce it in their own computer to find out exactly what the problem is.

A lot of players could reply to you saying for example : this mod is in the wrong order, this mod is conflicting with that one, etc, etc, etc ..... your game is broken, to the point that you cannot even start it according to what you said. What do you think we should do ? Let me give you an advise based on my own experience :

- Delete everything. Go nuke and restart a new game.

- Read every single mod description/posts/change logs/ to find out what the mod author is suggesting in relation to compatibility/load order and what other players found out about the mod. This is your best friend. Read, read and read, investigate that mod before even try to download it.

- Start a new game and save after you get out of Helgen.

- Download / install only 5 mods and try. Everything is fine? Go with another 5 mods and so forth till you find out which one is causing the issue. ( Yes, I know because I've been there before .. it is tedious and annoying but if you want to make sure that you will have a kind of stable game with mods, you have no other choice. )

Do yourself a favor. Jump to Vortex and forget about NMM. Vortex will help you a lot to have a stable game. Don't be afraid of it and trust me that you will have a better chance to have a stable modded game with Vortex than NMM. Otherwise, if you do not want to go with it, then fix all those mod conflicts in your current load order via XEdit. If you do not know how to use this tool, then perhaps that should be the first thing you should learn because with it, you can resolve a lot of issues, create merging patches, etc.

And last but not the least, forget about having a perfect modded game and a perfect game since such thing, especially with Skyrim, does not exist. But if you do your homework, especially reading a lot and using Vortex, I can guarantee you that you will have a more stabilized game and less CTD's. You have in your load order a lot of very heavy mods that I've never tried but according to my own investigation after reading those mods description and posts, they are difficult to work with and they do not inspire to me any confidence to have them in my load order, for example ( and no limited to ... ) : Skyrim Immersive Creatures.

Good luck.

I have the same problem as the OP with a minimal loadorder of 60 mods or so.

Wrye Bash is essential for a stable modded game.

Great advice from sopmac45.. I would add my advice: when you have a stable game after using a guided baseline, make a backup.

I prefer the STEP guide as my baseline (link in my signature block). Using whichever guide you prefer, I would disable all mods and start from the beginning, and backup everything when your game is stable.

Or use Mator Smash and just make a smash patch. (but even with bashed or Smashed patch a look in SSEdit is needed)

"" Wrye Bash is essential for a stable modded game. "" …… that is NOT true at all.

I do not have Wrye Bash and my two games, Skyrim and Fallout4 are running like a charm and also, I do not have any merging and I have not had the need to fix anything via XEdit …. Vortex is all I have.
