Skyrim: Companion Vilja (mod) disappeared.

I am using the Companion Vilja mod and everything has been fine untill after I left Eldergleam sanctuary with the dark elf we freed from the bottle. Then Vilja disappeared and reappeared at the Brinehammer Wreck and she is stuck there. I can not communicate with her. I know she was supposed to tell me of some letter but she never did. I have just run the quest line and then this happaned. What to do?

Have you asked in the mod's comment thread? Chances are users and / or author of that mod will be more likely to assist you should the question be posted in a location that they're more likely to visit (or be informed that there is a new post).

 

I do remember using the mod but I do not remember much about it other than they did a much better job at getting the walking beside feature from my Followers as Companions mod to work without issue than I was able to do.

Do you have a save game file before you " left Eldergleam sanctuary with the dark elf we freed from the bottle." scene

 

Try loading that and see if Vilja is still "normal". If she is functioning properly, try redoing the quest again.

I made a mistake right afterwards when I notized she was missing and just kept seeking for her and playing other quests as well...so now I am on level 36 after 55 hrs played. Last save before that was on level 26 and 36 hrs played. Not too keen on loosing 20 hrs of play but I guess that´s what I have to do.

99.9% of mods have a "Posts" tab on the main page to get to the comments thread. You can't use the search function there but, at the top of the post/ comments section, you can click on "Forum Thread" and see all the comments but in the layout of this forum. Once you're in the forum thread, there's a search bar in the upper RH corner, limited to the mod's comments. Really handy for troubleshooting as, especially with popular mods like Vilja, someone may well have encountered and solved whatever problem you're having. E.G. for your current issue, you could try going to the forum thread for Vilja and search with the keyword "disappear" or maybe the name of whatever Vilja quest was in play at the time of her disappearance.

Thank you, but I´ve been through all of what I could find on similar problems with this mod and there is noone that has had same problem. I´ll just start again from my last save before this.
