Mod Acronyms - WTF?

FXAA: ???? (editor program?) *Skyrim*

AOF: ???? (Hair mod) *Skyrim*

VHH: ???? (animation) *Skyrim*

 

Here's info for these unknowns:

• AOF: An Old Friend, a mod author; he does more than hair mods
• FXAA: Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing; in regards to Skyrim, it usually refers to the FXAA Post-Process Injector mod
• VHH: Victorias High Heel walk Animation

Here's a few more for the list:

• AA: antialiasing; general computer-graphics term
• BAIN: I think it's BAsh INstaller; mod package installer built into Wrye Bash
• FCOM: Francesco + WarCry + Oscuro + Martigen, a set of tools and processes to install several of the most popular Oblivion mod packages in the recommended order
• MOBS: Medieval Oblivion Equipment Balance System
• MSAA: multisample anti-aliasing
• RLWC: Realistic Lighting With Customization; sometimes just RL
• TSAG: Teals03 Stacked Against Gravity

R18Pn 07: ???? (Torumekian Armor: nausicca of the valley of the wind) *Skyrim*

I've done some digging, and R18Pn seems to be the name of an Asian mod author. R18Pn may be the same person as KURESE, or KURESE may have ported some R18Pn's work; their names are often mentioned close to each other, and I haven't been able to determine the difference yet. Their work goes back at least as far as Oblivion.

• AttT: Armed to the Teeth for Skyrim
• MoM or MOM: Mystery of Mausoleum for Oblivion
• DMRA: Double Melons Round Ass for Oblivion (can't find original, so here's a link to Rogue outifts for Double Melons for reference; another breast-size alert is probably appropriate here)

Thanks for the corrections and additions. Now that I'm so used to skyrim, everytime i see an oblivion mod i keep thinking "man how did I not notice how ugly those faces were?" --- "Because at the time they weren't stupid"

As to CTD, (Crash To Desktop) it is becoming a catch all for any kind of crash by those who don't know what it really means. :whistling:

 

A CTD is one that happens with no warning - You are playing merrily along and are suddenly looking at the desktop. No error message or any reason given. And you can usually restart the game from your last save. These are far too common on Bethsoft games and have many causes. :rolleyes:

Wow, I just keep finding more when I look at those older Oblivion body mods, 'cause they all seem to refer to each other. ;)

 

• BAB: Biu's Adventuress Body for Oblivion
• BBB: Better Bouncing Boobs for Oblivion
• CM: Cutthroat Mods for Oblivion (I've thought for years that it meant "companion mod"; good thing I actually checked today.)
• GUTS: part of HGEC for Oblivion; not defined on mod page; instead, it says "A very muscular/bulky body featuring H-Cups and a really large lower body."
• RAIAR: mod author, not acronym
• STEP: Skyrim Total Enhancement Project for Skyrim
• TFF: Team Fantasy Figures body replacer for Oblvion
• UFF: Unofficial Fantasy Figures for Oblivion

I haven't been able to find the source or definition of these terms, which I found on the Oblivion pages:
