Altering NPC Detection with a Spell

Hello, Everyone!

 

I am working on a spell involving creating a thick mist/fog that blinds the NPCs within an area.

While, I´ve figured out placing a smoke/mist/fog effect, altering the NPCs ability to see within an within seems to be a bit limited when the game is running.

 

I can´t seem to find relevant Perks, Abilities or Actor scripts events/functions/conditions that can help me with this.

Any suggestions of where to start looking to affect active NPCs vision/detection would be appreciated a lot.
