Modding Dark Souls: Remastered for Switch

So DS:R has made it to the Switch. It's a pretty good port, generally, but the audio is trash. Suitable for playing on the Switch in handheld mode, but atrocious if you use good headphones or a stereo.

I've extracted the resource files, so I have 2 sets of .bdt and .bhd5 files which are, as I understand, the same compression format as all the other Souls games. The problem I've run into is existing tools can recognize the files, function without error, but then don't actually extract anything.

I believe the problem has to do with Switch games being "little-endian" while the other versions have been big-endian.

So what's the path forward from here? Is it possible to create a script to recalculate the extraction for little-endian? Are any of the popular extraction tools open source? Are we simply at the mercy of the devs of these tools deciding the Switch version is worth putting the effort into?

I will gladly test any extraction/compression tools if these devs don't have access to the Switch version. Let's get this game back to a proper level of immersion!
