jepulisman
When I try to move the mod install folder for Fallout 4 i get this error. The folder doesn't even exist yet it is still "open in another application". Doesn't happen with Fallout NV.
SirSalami
This can happen if you choose a sub-folder of the folder that was already chosen as the 'install path' (Now known as the 'Mod Staging Folder'). Please try to choose a folder that is outside of the original choice (creating a new folder if needed). After successfully changed, you should be able to select your new choice if you wish. I'll make note of this little issue for our developers.
leonardo2
Do you use Wrye Bash or one of the other mod user tools e.g LOOT, FO4Edit? If so then try to close those mod user tools first to see if that helps. Of course closing Vortex could help too.
jepulisman
Well I got around this problem by actually using the "...\Fallout4\Fallout4" as my mod install folder.
