[LE] White textures are turning purple in ck and game - what is wrong?

Since weeks I'm trying to do a white horse. Now it looks fine in nifskope, but in ck and in game the color turns to purple. It's not glossy, but not really white.

I have a very dark alpha channel and I tried also without and saving in DXT 1. No difference. I deleted the normal map and in nifskope the setting of the specular map - no difference, but without normal map texture is glossy. I tried every solution I could find in the internet, tried different settings with reducing saturation and lightness or reducing brightness - then I get a grey purple horse.

What am I missing? Thank you for your suggestions.

I'm still struggling with that problem. I saved my texture in photoshop with alpha channel and in the alpha channel is the desaturated texture and I turned it nearly to black. My normal map has the same alpha channel. I tried to darken the white texture, but then it get's grey in ck and game and looks still purple. I adjusted values in Nifskope: The Specular and the Emissive Color is now #000000 - black, Specular Strength is 0, still no difference. What am I overlooking? I have more than this one white texture and they all have this problem.

I appreciate any suggestions.

Purple textures are from Skyrim not finding and/or being able to read the textures. The purple is what the object looks like without textures.

Check the path is 100% correct, check the textures are in your .bsa (yes you will need a bsa) and if all else fails try flattening the texture when you save them.

from your art program .. I use Gimp.

Thanks for your answer, but you don't understand. The texture is visible in game, but the white turns slightly to unnatural purple. But I solved it. Seems that either nifskope or ck didn't recognize my changes. After some days it worked suddenly with the Nifskope settings I mentioned above.
