Issues with Fallout: New California

Hello, have been struggling with mod issues over the past few days and still can't figure anything out. At first, the game would crash on load. Then, I would have issues with loading certain areas. Now, I can start the game but have a black screen with some debris and doors. It was silent, creepy, and made me sad. I have a decently modern computer and can run FNV/FNC and have almost no mods, mostly QOL and performance stuff, such as NVAC, NVAS, 4GB patcher, etc. No clue what the issue is. Have reinstalled the game multiple times and have also tried reinstalling mods, as well as deleting saves, ini's, and re-patching with 4gb patcher among other things. Recently updated to version 203 and added some new mods, but not much. All I have is Rudy ENB and animation mods. Have no clue on what to do and really just want to play this great mod.

I recommend you read the entire "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to understand the differences between this game and others you may have experience with; especially if this is your first attempt to mod FNV. You have to get a stable FNV setup before you can play FNC, which is admitted by that team to be much more stressful on the system.

The "Common Problems" section of that article covers most of the issues in FNV you report. However, you need to look over the FNC "FAQ" page AND it's "Incompatiblity" list. ("Project Nevada Rebalance" is incompatible.) FNC specific problems need to be reported to their DISCORD server. They don't monitor this forum (that we are aware of).

I would recommend you leave installing ENB and the Ruby "preset" to the very last after you have tested everything else is working correctly.

If you still need further help: Please provide ALL the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article. Don't forget to identify things that do not appear in the "load order", such as if you are using the FNV4GB Patch, NVSE and it's related plugins, texture replacements (specifically their larger image sizes: 1024x1024, etc.), and "post-processors" like ENB or SweetFX.

* See "How to markup images (etc) in forum posts and comments" article for how to use "Spoiler tags".
