Hey

I just installed vortex and upon trying to launch the application, I get a notification saying: admin rights detected and a warning about continuing. Thing is, I'm not running as administrator as far as I'm aware.  I'm just double-clicking as I would with most applications. I also checked the properties to see if run as admin was set by default but that wasn't the case. Just wondering if this is a bug and if it's safe to continue since the notification insist that I could be in some deep s***.

Thanks.

Did you right click on the shortcut or exe and see if it's set to "run as Administrator"?

I did, that's what I meant with properties. Also to correct myself, I didn't actually install yet but instead I'm trying to launch the installer itself.

Do you have UAC disabled? Because that's effectively the same as running everything as administrator.

Thank you, that was the issue. I hadn't even heard of that before but everything seems to work now.
