Problems with Re-installing Mod

Hi everyone. I've been playing the mod Apostates to Oblivion, and at a certain point (the tree of life I think it's called) the person who was supposed to be with me didn't appear and so I wasn't able to continue with the mod. I uninstalled it and deleted everything I could find on my computer, then downloaded it again and installed it again. When I did, and I got to the part where you see head witch for the first time, a few guys (not sure what faction) came into her area and started attacking me. Then I tried using an autosave that I had before this mod was installed, and thought I'd give that a shot, but when I went to Suran, the ring wasn't there.

 

 

I would be really grately for anyone's help who has played this mod, or had a similar problem with mods in general. I really want to finish this one and hope someone can help me.
