People still being told to 'shut their mouths' over Beth's ongoing outrages- including the PURPOSEFUL breaking of external support of the game's .exe as a strategic business move to push the Creation Club.

Bethesda could TRIVIALLY update content on the Creation Club without breaking f4se support, but Todd Howard wants f4se support broken each time for the same reason he wants vanilla Fallout 4 assets on the Fallout:76 Atom Store- MONEY.

People who PAY for a AAA offline game have a right to expect it to keep working WITHOUT their need to waste time messing about. Back in the day Todd chose to support the idea of selling the PC version of Fallout:4 as a third-party moddifiable game- with the caveat that Beth, of course, could not 'support' a game modded by third-party content. But lack of 'support' does not mean the 'right to break with every forced update'.

So YES, every time Beth breaks mods, people should express their ire loudly- after all it isn't as if Beth is a company anyone should be supporting at this time (Beth just leaked a full set of personnel details of every customer who had registered a 'ticket' at their support site- seriously breaking the laws of numerous nations, including the UK).

And yes, it is good that people point out 'work around' methods that can be applied to Fallout:4, even tho such work-arounds actually impact the owners LEGAL RIGHTS (since Beth demands that to have 'rights' you must allow the game to update fully).

Again, Beth, with no tech need at all, breaks the .exe on purpose in the hope that people will give up on mods from the Nexus and stick to the Creation Club. And for a person here to say "won't work with me" doesn't mean it hasn't worked on tens of thousands of other Beth customers who haven't the inclination or skill or time to roll-back the game .exe.

Well the executable broke my game and it has nothing to do with f4se. To play the game I use pre CC executables.

I totally agree with the statement "Beth's ongoing outrages"

I disagree that Bethesda purposely sabatoshed f4se. I think they just don't care. Their latest release proves to me that they don't care or didn't care.

Maybe they care now.

Are they still doing this? I gave up on FO4 a long time ago after an update completely broke all my modded saves, unmodded saves were the only ones that still worked they were only a few landscape mods not even f4se mods.

I was thinking of trying it again especially after I picked up all the DLC's in the steam sale recently, guess I'll have to hold off again.

n.b. my copy of Skyrim SE I blocked it from updating completely its already 3 updates behind, I think its 4 now after the pointless update yesterday...

edit: DLC is now downloaded, latest F4SE is now installed, updates are now blocked.

n.b. if anyone is having trouble stopping the game from crashing upon startup in anything other than fullscreen mode try disabling the Intro logos/music with BethINI

Just turn off automatic updates and then roll back your fallout to a version that works. Most I've ever wait for f4se to update was 2 days and that was back in the beginning. Its pretty easy.

Pretty sure bethesda HAS DROPPED ALL SUPPORT OF FALLOUT 4. ZERO FIXES..........EVER. Instead the MORONIC creation club crap breaking the mods.

It took a few days for a new f4se, working again. bethesda really needs to stop, unless they actually fixes their screw-ups.
