Pathing screaming at me after update, can't download new mods

After the update of Vortex, I cannot download new mods and it's screaming at me that my pathing is apparently invalid even though it's been sitting in my steamapps/common/fallout4 for the last month and a half without issue. Where am I even supposed to move it and still have it work? Better yet, why is it suddenly telling me that I have no space when I still have 1.68 TB of room left? Any suggestions would be helpful!

Your mod staging folder needs to be somewhere outside of your game folder but on the same disk partition as the game. You currently have the mod staging folder inside your game folder. This kind of setup has always been problematic. The Vortex update is now telling you explicitly that this is a problem that needs to be addressed in the interests of your game's long-term health.

In your case you should move the mod staging folder away from your game folder to somewhere else on D:/, since D:/ is where your game is installed.

It's because you're not supposed to put the Mod Staging folder inside your game folder.

The latest update of Vortex has to make you change the location of the folder once it was learned that people were putting the Staging Folder in the worst place possible.
