agree with you 100%, perfectly fine mod manager. not sure why you would put that in a vortex forum, perhaps you're simply not used to how forums work, or you're a little tired and emotional?

You are absolutely right and wrong at the same time ... NMM was not fine, it is fine ... but Vortex is excellent.

Since I was able to successfully use both, I have a pretty solid understanding about their differences. Behind your words, you are implying that Vortex is not better and was not necessary to be created. If you do not know Vortex, you do not have a solid fundament to compare them and give your opinion and be credible.

Stay with the "fine" and when you want to jump to something better, please study all the procedures, learn Vortex and I am pretty sure that your opinion will turn upside down.

I've had trouble using Vortex even adding games I have installed. I gave up and went back to NMM simply to avoid thrashing my head on a desk over Vortex's issues with older games (Skyrim, Terraria and others are still not showing up for older versions, not everyone rushed out to get the 4k editions of everything....)

Vortex supports Skyrim, not sure why you claim it doesn't.

Also, nobody "rushed" to get "4K editions" of games like Skyrim SE.

Bethesda gave people Skyrim SE for free if you already owned Skyrim and it's DLC.

I'm curious as to where people are getting their misinformation from?

Because so far all the threads that make claims against Vortex saying "it can't do this", "it can't do that", "NMM could do this and Vortex can't", "NMM would automatically sort your load order" etc, have been completely untrue and have been debunked.

So I can still use NMM? My best friend said that when he went to play skyrim that he couldn't because he had to install Vortex. I absolutely love NMM. Just don't actually understand if I have to use vortex for skyrim mods or if I can just continue to use the nmm instead just updated

You can continue to use NMM. Your friend was mistaken. Although NexusMods no longer supports NMM, you can find support here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/439-open-beta-feedback/.

Also, you can find NMM updates here: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases.

Thank you. He was having problems because he swapped without looking through the forums. He is trying to get back to nmm. Instead of vortex and he said his mods are all sorts of screwed up now.
