The A,B,C to setup Vortex !

1 - In SETTINGS - INTERFACE :

 

a - Under Advanced :

• Enable Advanced Mode ON
• Enable Profile Management ON

b - Under Automation :

• Deploy Mods when Enabled ON

2 - In SETTINGS - MODS

• This was already addressed in my previous post

3 - In SETTINGS - DOWNLOAD

• Make sure that HANDLE is ON. You need to go to NexusMods.com to the game mods page to download your mod file.

4 - In SETTINGS - GAMES

• Search Path, add the directory where Vortex will look to find your game. Default is C:\

5 - PLUGINS section

• Make sure to Enable the Auto-sort function ( first icon on the top left of the taskbar )
• By enabling this function, you will activate LOOT inside Vortex so your plugins will be auto-sorted automatically in the same way LOOT would do it outside Vortex
• If so, you do not have to run LOOT outside Vortex. Forget about it !
• you can still click on Sort Now anytime if you want but it is not necessary
• as soon as you auto-deploy your mod, the respective Plugin will be added and sorted automatically. Remember that some mods do not add plugins and others may add several plugins.
• and this bring me to this important point : YOU ONLY NEED TO FOCUS ON Downloading/Installing/Enabling your mods and concentrate on resolving your Mod conflicts via rules in the MOD section.

RECAP :

From all of the above, pay special attention to make sure that you have :

• Enable Auto-Deploy in Settings - Interface - Automation
• Turn ON Handle in Settings - Downloads and download mods from NexusMods.com
• Turn ON the Auto-sort function in the PLUGINS section
