Skyrim random crash and issues

I'm having issues playing Skyrim after modding my game, with various things affecting playability, but mostly every mod working. The bugs or issues include: CTD's after specific actions (entering combat and utilizing TK Combat, or sometimes opening up the pause menu via the esc key), animations playing after falling off of a ledge w/o jumping, CTD's sometimes after quick actions (opening an inventory and immediately taking all), certain mods not working even though I am certain they don't conflict or override each other, and random lag spikes (that may just be my laptop). I also haven't cleaned much of my mods, but know some may need it by using LOOT. I am not familiar with how to clean mod trash files.

Well I would start watching this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPwiY7NBVTM&t=168s At around the 2 minute mark he shows how to use TES5Edit to check for problems. He also has videos on how to clean mods and mater files. I would start there.

Hello, and thanks for replying! I've seen this video already and checked for missing master files and came up with nothing. I currently am working on the cleaning guides. Do you have any other ideas?

2 things come to mind. Fist install this and start skyrim thru it. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6491 You can watch your videocard memory, cpu and main memory etc. Anytime my GPU memory gets anywhere near 3600 I know I'm gonna crash soon.

Second, go to your skyrim/data folder and have a look to see what folders are in there. If you have folders with mod names that just contain a readme files then thats fine. If ya see some with esp's, textures and meshes etc then you may have installed that mod incorrectly.

 

What mod manager are you using if any? Thats a lot of mods for a laptop.
