#IMPORTANT#

I made this to play Mass Effect 2 with some challenging Insanity mode. It may not suit to you. I play the game on a laptop with Intel HD 5500. And Windows Defender, Windows10Pro 64 bit are installed. I am currently on Garrus and Mordin recruitment missions and my game is never crashed or frozen until now. I will present some game-play video to see it yourself, but the visual clarity of the video is bad, because of integrated graphics and Fraps was using it simultaneously while recording, otherwise the video game on my screen is very clear;

I edited Coalesced.ini and certain DLC .ini files and then modded. Some main changes here;
- Insanity Difficulty is edited; others are original. Enemies are more health, more shield, more power and more frequent actions.
- Every weapon variations in their own weapon type has same config; from damage to accuracy. I don't like it to throw away some 'weak' guns because of its damage output is less.
- Almost all weapons are automatized, except sniper rifles and heavy weapons.
- Sniper rifles have only 1 bullet magazine, but their damage output very high.
- Some heavy weapons are downgraded for their damage output, but upgraded their magazine size to give them some regular gun feeling; such as missile launcher, grenade launcher, avalanche.
- Key bindings, tilde and tab keys can be activated; but I don't know what tilde and tab keys do;

This comes from http://www.masseffectsaves.com/coalmods.php and I thank them.

I added KillEnemies key, because when I use biotic skills (Warp, Pull...) or levitating weapons; sometimes enemies get stuck and the game doesn't register them dead.
On the first mission area; Lazarus Research Station, just finish through without dying. This happens to me; I save and then load on that mission zone, the game shows a far away layout, by phasing away my camera view as if controlling a flycam and you can't move.

- Cooldown is gone, you can activate it by F1 key.
- Henchmen can use some player-only weapons, such as special sniper rifle.
- Jack and Jacob both have heavy weapon loadout. Jack is crazy and Jacob is righteous soldier.
- Other henchmen's loadout set-ups are also changed.
- All EXP rewards are multiplied with 10.
- Added some game effects on no leg, helmet, arm options, especially for biotic power and melee attacks.
- Added bonus armors, casuals, chests, tints, specs, patterns. Many of them come from http://gametourists.blogspot.com/2010/11/mass-effect-2-armor-and-casual-wear.html and http://www.masseffectsaves.com/coalmods.php Again, I thank them.
- There are other changes, such as more uplimit for resources, money, medigels.
- Biotic Power modifications don't register, so it is useless for now.
- This page has also some valuable info; https://www.facesofgaming.com/guides/guide-19-for-gibbeds-me2-editor#10
- To use casual appearances as armor, you have to combine and try different chest-leg-helmet-arm options.
- Some armors and casuals don't show your character on squad menu.
- The vehicle is more powerful and less weak now.

1. Install ME2 including all DLCs.

2. Go in-through Mass Effect 2\BioGame\Config\PC\Cooked and backup Coalesced.ini

3. Go in-through Mass Effect 2\BioGame\DLC folder and search ".ini" and backup all .ini files.

(or just copy your DLC folder somewhere on your computer and delete all file extensions (.pcc, .afc, .tlk, .bik, .upk, .dlc) except .ini type in this copied folder, NOT IN THE MASS EFFECT 2 GAME FOLDER)

4. Download https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vejorqi4zo54g70/AABKVg7kvj9Ux8X2bbYa-rXCa/me2_binkw32.zip?dl=0

and copy binkw23.dll and binkw32.dll to Mass Effect 2\Binaries. Source; https://github.com/Erik-JS/masseffect-binkw32

5. Download this mod firstly; https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/169 (ME2Recalibrated_v1.0)

5a. Open the mod folder, copy PlotManager.pcc to Mass Effect 2\BioGame\CookedPC,

5b. Copy the contents of DLC PATCH - LotSB and DLC PATCH - Zaeed to DLC_MOD_ME2Re\CookedPC

5c. Now copy DLC_MOD_ME2Re to Mass Effect 2\BioGame\DLC

5d. Open RECOMMENDED - Textures and copy ME2Re_GUI_Codex.tpf (132 kb) and ME2Re_GUI_ConsistentLiara.tpf (50 kb) to somewhere on your computer. We will use them soon.

6. Download my file, it contains headmorph, save data, dlc and coalesced; https://drive.google.com/open?id=11bZAd0Gw2BD7sZxP9D4a7-bfR90GJGuu

6a. Copy Coalesced.ini to Mass Effect 2\BioGame\Config\PC\Cooked or replace.

6b. Copy DLC folder to Mass Effect 2\BioGame\ and overwrite/replace.

7. Now the fun and tedious and cautionary part... This part is entirely optional to make the video game beautiful.

7x. If you think that your Mass Effect 2 is darker on your screen, just download this file and replace it by throwing into main Mass Effect 2 folder;

Mass Effect 2 Crushed Blacks FIX https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/135?tab=description

I don't suggest any Sweet/ENB fix files, because they are making my game darker a lot. This could be only me, though.

8. Download all these mods;

8a. A.L.O.T for ME2 7.0 and any Optional Files you like https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/68?tab=description

8r. Samara Head - Samara Outfit https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/208?tab=description

8s. Asari Commando https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/80?tab=description

(I chose black - purple color variation of it for my female Shepard. I am not sure I can select/see other colors in the game if I install other color versions.

Also, if you decide to use my own Coalesced.ini, you don't need to change or add anything to get this armor, I made the changes already.)

9. There are other mods, but I am scared of breaking the game.

10. Unzip and start ALOTInstaller.exe as normal user. Let the program update itself. Browse down ADD-ON section of A.L.O.T and download only

HR Weapons Pack. Because one of other add-on mods changes Shepard's and Kelly's eye frames from cute-naive to mean-cool and I don't like it.

11. Heed A.L.O.T's warnings from now on. For example you can back-up your game files, just browse Settings of A.L.O.T at right bottom corner.

12. Throw/drop all those our downloaded mods onto A.L.O.T's main window AS IS ZIPPED / RARRED / 7ZIPPED. If it accepts them, then it will show Mass Effect 1 Mass Effect 2 Mass Effect 3 icons and choose/click on Mass Effect 2 one by one. It will not recognize some of mods, because the mod files are inside of a folder that is inside of zipped file, just extract and retry the method by throwing/dragging FOLDER on this time, or just go in-deep and extract .tpf files and .mem files and drag them. Don't forget to add the .tpf files from number 5d. up there.

13. Click on Install for Mass Effect 2 on A.L.O.T's main window and tick all A.L.O.T - Addon - OtherFiles. It will possible take thirty minutes - one hour to install the all mods.

14. When it is completed, just click on and close it.

15. Start a new game.

16. OR download these programs and headmorph;

ME2 ini fixer https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/116

Notepad++ https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v7.6.2.html

(to fix Coalesced.ini if you are going to make changes/editing on it. A.L.O.T doesn't hinder these .ini file editing.)

Infamous Gibbed's ME2 Save Editor https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/170

EVE FACE https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/95?tab=description

If you get my Save files from number 6 and pick up Freya folder; because it contains Mass Effect 1 carry-on changes. I chose to keep everyone survive from Mass Effect 1, except Kaidan. All others are alive or not killed, like Wrex. Romanced everyone. You can import my headmorph (based on Eve Face) or original Eve Face into Save Editor and build your own save files to put in your newly started game save folder; just rename the file, as an example; Save_0006.pcsav

17. Number 2-3-11 for back up the some important game files, in case something goes wrong. Don't delete them until finishing Mass Effect 2 completely or take a risk.

18. Don't forget to thank and endorse mod owners.

19. Enjoy.

@RockandScroll;

Are you asking, or telling? I don't quite understand the point of this topic. :huh:

(And please learn to use the [ spoiler ] tag. Unless someone is intensely interested, that wall o' steps and settings is incredibly distracting.)

A little both; any good .ini file editing or more mod? Please tell me, I will be grateful. Also, some people may mod and edit their Mass Effect 2 files, so I wrote my preferences. I don't know if mine will be useful to the others.
