I'm new to modding and need a little help. I've already done my homework, watched all the tutorials, read just about everything that was relevant to the issues I'm having, and I have spent the last 4 days learning the hard way. Now I'm finally making progress... I just need a little more help to get me the rest of the way...
I finally got MO2 to work, got on my mods in and sorted, not conflicts and everything checks out...MO2 is happy with it, and by inspection of mod order based on installation instructions..everything is where it should be. However, when I hit run (with SKSE as the selected program); besides a quick window blip like a window was opening and the MO2 feedback coming back as "waiting for process complete successful" -- nothing happens.
I can still launch SKSE from the desktop and it runs exactly like it is supposed to. <<everything, including the game has been installed in roughly the last 12 hours>> So I ran LOOT for the first time, also new. This was the result;

  • Latest LOOT thread.

  • It appears you have installed Skyrim Script Extender, but its required scripts seem to be missing. Please ensure you have correctly installed the scripts bundled with the SKSEinstallation archive.

  • Your SKSE 64 is up-to-date.

  • You have not sorted your load order this session.

UPDATE

[Windows 10][skyrimSE] mo2 + Bitdefender 2018 Total

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP ME!

I've been attempting to use mo2 to mod SkyrimSE for the last 5 days straight! hours and hours of troubleshooting, tutorials, reading -- I understand quite a bit. But finally, I think i have found the reason why I have fallen through every single crack when trying to get it to work and that is because Bitdefender is too good at its job and attacks my programs. but I have worked on it to try and bypass Bitdefender. NOW i have just run LOOT and it says everything is good to go...but mo2 will not launch SKSE on its own. I can launch SKSE directly from the skse_loader within the game file. I checked ~getskseversion and it checks out just fine. But the game still wont detect a single mod.

First, you've made a good choice in investing in MO2. It'll eventually pay off, I can promise you. Now onto your issues :

1/ Make sure SKSE is properly installed. To do so, allow me to invite you to read the short introduction section of a guide which explains this very clearly.

2/ Next, MO2 uses a virtual file system. It offers an unmatched level of ease and flexibility in managing your mods, but at the cost of having to launch the game through MO2. If you attempt to launch the game (or SKSE) outside of MO2, the game will not see your mods. The proper way to launch your game through MO2 is to use the drop down box on top right corner of MO2, select "SKSE" and then click on the "Run" button.

Again, allow me to guide you to an excellent

which should hopefully clarify everything for you once you're done with it.

If you still have questions, feel free to ask. Edited by KarmaPowered
