Ahzidal's genius ability question.. can't get enchanting skill >110

(It turns out I simply don't fully understand the mechanics of adding abilities)

Hi.

I always thought the entire Kolbjorn Barrow quest for Ahzidal's relics was a lot of gold, time and effort for very little reward if, like me, you only use it for the enchanting skill boost. (which is minimal)

So I thought I'd tweak it from +10 to say +30 enchanting skill. It doesn't work and I'm wondering if the enchanting skill is capped at 110.

I found the ability that's used ( DLC2dunKolbjornSetAbility )

I altered the magnitude from 10 to 30, activated my little esp and tested...

No change. wearing four pieces still gave +10 enchanting, resulting in the usual massive leap ( he says, voice heavy with sarcasm) in enchantment strength.

I went back into CK and altered the condition for the ability to be applied. Normally it is set to test for exactly four pieces of the set being worn, which explains why people think the ability is bugged when they wear all pieces of armour plus a ring and get no enchanting skill boost.

My test was simply to alter the condition from '= 4.0' to '>=4.0'

Back in game, sure enough I could now wear either 4 or 5 pieces of Ahzidal's gear and get the boost, so I know I'm editing the right form, but the boost is still +10 and that's the figure quoted in the user interface under active effects.

Does anyone know if this is capped? Or am I missing something?

Edit: I must be missing something. I just made the enchanting legendary to drop it back to 15 and donned the gear again. Result Enchanting skill 25 (+10), not 45 (+30). I'm stumped.

thumbincubation,

that's probably a good point but its amazing how many hours I put into the game collecting every word of every shout... and don't use most of them!

For instance, I was just playing Rigmor of Bruma and getting a bit fed up of being assaulted by yet another ridiculous horde of enemies and thought: 'Why not try Bend Will on one half of them?' Amazing. The enemy camp split into two opposing factions, clubbing each other to death.

Anyway, we digress! see post below for more on my incompetent blunders through the creation kit.
