just started modding bout last week but been putting off because of school and trying to understand through videos and think i get some of it. i got fallout new vegas and i wanted to just start off with some basic enhancement mods to make it a more visual pleasing experience as i replay this classic. alas i thought i read all installation rules to what i could understand and it looked like it worked. then after doing first quest killing geckos it had crashed. i rebooted and killed them again and then fast traveled to goodsprings where just the saloon and general store and just some random junk here and there but no goodsprings if that makes sense. so i guess its load order and install order because mod orginizer 2 shows me a overwrite at the bottom and some conflicting things alas im a newb and im not sure where to go from here. if it helps i got the 4gbpatch, nvse, nvsr, nvac, yup, wrp, weapon mesh improvement, fallout character overhaul, and last was eve

Hmm. I'm on here daily several times a day and haven't seen this before. We get lots of "lurkers" (views) but only a couple of us volunteer "technical support" which is the category a question like this falls into, and I tend to dominate that section. Others were probably expecting me to jump on it. Not sure how I missed it, so I'll apologize for that.

What you've given us is not sorted correctly. (I don't use MO2 so I'm assuming "Priority" is the "load order" of the "profile".) Please see the 'Vanilla "Load Order"' entry in the 'First Timer Advice' section; and the 'Common Game Problems' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.

If the problem persists, then see either the 'Solutions to Starting the game problems' or the 'Solutions to "Crash To Desktop" (CTD) problems' sections in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

I recommend you read the entire "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to understand the differences between this game and others you may have experience with; especially if this is your first attempt to mod FNV or it's been more than a year since you last did so.

It looks like you have the "essential" mods, but for the complete picture if the above is not sufficient: Please provide ALL the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article. (I know you provided some of this, but this is "boilerplate" and the redundancy doesn't hurt:) Don't forget to identify things that do not appear in the "load order", such as if you are using a "regional language version" of the game; using the FNV4GB Patch, NVSE and it's related plugins; replacements for textures (specifically their larger image sizes: 1024x1024, etc.), animations, or "bodies", etc.; and "post-processors" like ENB or SweetFX. It saves us playing "20 questions" and gets you a more specific answer more quickly. (The usual turn-around on post and reply in an older game forum is 24 hours.)

* See "How to markup images (etc) in forum posts and comments" article for how to use "Spoiler tags".
