CTD near High Hrothgar again.

Hello!

 

So after doing the things the previous person (Thank you again!) suggested I still have the problem. The problem is near a specific spot the game CTDs very quickly, so no lag or anything like that. The problem occurs when I cross a certain point and/or fast travel to Old Hrothgar ruins from Skyrim Underground. I have absolutely no idea what causes, but I suspect a mod conflict. I installed the latest SKSE and SSE Engine Fixes.

Looks like it's fixed. Aurlyn was the problem. Replaced a file and it works again!

Which file did you replace? I'm having an identical problem.

 

EDIT: I found the answer. For anyone having this same problem, this is it. The Aurlyn Dawnstone patch uses an incompatible version of horse_n.dds from the mod Skyrim Horses Renewal, specifically for slim horses, which are a category inside the Skyrim Horses Renewal mod. Go download Skyrim Horses Renewal, snag the horse_n.dds from there (inside /Textures/Slim Horse Race Textures folder) and replace the other horse_n.dds inside the Aurlyn Dawnstone patch with it (which is also inside a folder called Slim Horse Race Textures.)

 

I have no idea why the one in the patch is messed up, but it can be fixed. Happy Skyrim!
