Broken aiming animations 1st and 3rd person

So I just had this happen to me where the animations for all weapons (Vanilla, DLC, and modded) suddenly became broken. Weapons in both POVs are completely off kilter and whenever I shoot the bullets go where the gun is pointing and not where the cross hairs are. Both perspectives have different positions. 1st person has the guns pointed to the left and 3rd person has them shoot upward, even if you are aiming straight ahead.

I do have mods installed but nothing that change the skeleton or animations in anyway. Some of the bigger mods i have are re textures and I also have Project Nevada. Some others are armor replacers, Fallout Character Overhaul, and like 5 or 6 weapon mods, none of which use custom animations.

I've already tried verifying files and reinstalling the game soooooooooo yeah. Idk what to do from here. I also, for the life of me couldn't find anyone else with the same problem as me anywhere. If anyone has a solution I would be very interested and grateful to hear it. TY

In general, if you haven't changed anything about your game and it suddenly stops working correctly you need to look to other causes: such as software updates to Windows, programming libraries such as ".Net", or hardware drivers. Older games eventually get dropped from product testing. However, this sounds like it is much more likely to be due to a mod conflict when you say "the bullets go where the gun is pointing and not where the cross hairs are". You want the bullets to follow the weapon trajectory, but you also want the weapon to track the crosshairs. There is a mod to force this in FPV called "Gun Follows Crosshairs in First Person".

Please see the 'Issue - Aiming -" entries under the 'Solutions to Graphics problems' section and also the 'Mod Conflict Isolation' section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article.

Please be aware that mesh and texture mods can contribute to this problem as many vanilla weapons are not aligned correctly. This is what the "Weapon Mesh Improvement Mod (WMIM)" is intended to correct. Other "weapon" mods may or may not conflict with each other.

We REALLY need to see your sorted "load order" as produced by "LOOT"; to include the main game and DLC files. With modded games its the sequence, not merely the list of mods, which is the cause of many problems. LOOT's sort gives a good first approximation, correcting the most obvious issues and is sufficient for most players. You can make minor adjustments to the order and tell LOOT how to remember them. It's in the on-line documentation under "Metadata". Instructions on how to copy it's list for posting are in the "How to ask for help" article, and "Checklist Item #11' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

Okay, so a few things I wanted to say in response to this.

So I want to apologize for not being descriptive enough in my post. What I meant by the bullets not going where to cross hairs are I didn't mean the weird thing where you look up or down, your gun doesn't move with you. What I meant was that in third person, I would be aiming straight ahead, but my gun is floating above my hands and is pointed upwards. The bullets go where the gun is pointed and not where the cross hair is. you would be able to see in the pictures if they weren't so small, sorry again for that one.

I also found that If you load an older save the glitch is no longer present and aiming is back to normal. So I guess the only way to fix this particular glitch is to go back before it happened and hope it doesn't happen again.

Thanks for the response anyway.
