NeuroToxins Posted February 11, 2019 Share Posted February 11, 2019 (edited) I keep getting an error stating "Failed to set game mode" and when i click on more says "Missing D:\Games\Fallout 4\data" but I can run the game just fine and the data file is there... What I have done so far: Checked that Vortex and fallout 4 is in the same directory, i.e. Vortex install path: D:\Games\Vortex Vortex download path: D:\Games\VORTEX DOWNLOADS Fallout 4 path: D:\Games\Fallout 4I've uninstalled (and even deleted the user cache in AppData\Roaming several times)Manually installed Vortex, specifying it to be installed in D:Renamed the FO4 data file from Data to dataTried but failed to change the data file from read-only to ... well not that.spam clicking activateupdate my javaAny suggestions? Edit: Just realised I've installed an HD texture mod straight into the data folder (game works fine), so could this be the source of the error? If so, is there a workaround?
