Vortex wont scan for my games on my pc

I am using Vortex version 0.17.3 and Vortex starts to scan for games then it stops. I am using Windows 10, x64, and I have 16gb of RAM. I have my games on steam and I have reinstalled vortex several times.

Hi there,

 

Are you running the quick scan or full scan?

 

It's possible your games aren't in a location Vortex expects. You can also find the game in the "Supported" tab and manually tell Vortex where it is installed.

Can you ensure all the drive locations are included in Settings > Games

 

If your games are on your D:\ and Vortex is set just to look on C:\ it won't find them.

 

You can also set the path for your game manually by finding it in the "Supported" tab of the "Games" section and pressing the "Manually select location" button.

 

Otherwise, we'll need more information, like which games, where they are installed, etc to advise you further.

I have the same problem. I added the Paths to the games and still no luck.

 

I also don't have the "Supported" Tab in my Vortex. I'm running the latest version 1.1.7 Testing (I added the testing after the problem to check if that would help)

After you added the paths/drives, did you tell Vortex to do a FULL SCAN?

 

 

 

 

Also SUPPORTED was removed a couple of version ago, now the Supported Games show up in Color on the Games tab instead

Yes I did. Now at least I see Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Monster Hunter World :D

 

Stil can't see Dragon Age Inquisition although it has a page here: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition

 

+ Under Unmanaged I see a lot of games I don't own?

Just because there is a nexus mods page doesn't mean the game is also supported by Vortex. If the game isn't in the list inside Vortex it's not supported.

The games you don't own, show up as BLACK and WHITE under the Unmanaged Section.

The games you DO Own, show up in COLOR in the Unmanaged Section until you decide to Manage them.

Dragon Age Inquisition is currently not supported by Vortex

this continually confuses so many people - why not make it significantly easier and only show the games you've got that vortex can manage?

i get you want to advertise vortex functionality - but this is not at all clear and adds fuel to the continual fire of the ui being somewhat more busy than it should be.
