Character becomes invisible

Hello In the interiors (although it was once on the street) the character can disappear completely (again, once with a follower). It is solved by fast saving and loading. This can happen at a distance of several steps, or maybe before reloading the save. If anyone knows please tell me what could be the reason?

disappear as in stealth invisibility (such as sneaking with Ebony mail) or disappear as in complete absence ?

 

if its the former then its most likely a piece of armor that causes the invisibility when sneaking or any other condition such as in combat,

 

however if it is the latter, sounds like its connected to the body, such as missing body mesh files, however that would be a constant issue rather then a random issue.

 

what are your latest actions before your character completey disappears (such as do you change armor, equip a weapon, etc etc), need to get a good idea on how this happens.

 

if it is indeed complete character absence (the character is completely invisible) then the only things that i can think that could possibly cause this are as follows: invalid skeleton (XPMSE not installed properly, or you installed another mod that overwritten the Skeleton.hkx file supplied with XPMSE), missing body mesh files and or textures.

 

try reinstalling XPMSE (XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Edition), and allow it to overwrite everything. and see if that fixes the issue. also try reinstalling CBBE, and get the ESP version of it, not the ESL file.

This is not an effect of invisibility, but a complete disappearance. Most often, at least as much as I dreamed of, the character disappeared when any light sources (torches, etc.) hit. Sometimes when using spells on a character for a second appears. And this happened from the very beginning of the game with the mods, and I reinstalled XPMSE more than once.

are you running an ENB ? if so try disabling or enabling Subsurface scattering

 

in skyrim root folder - open ENBSeries - look for: EnableSubSurfaceScattering=false (change to true, or false)

 

other options that you can try whilst still being in the ENBSeries are:

 

EnableSkinSpecular=false

EnableComplexFireLights=false

EnableComplexParticleLights=false

change the above to the opposite of what they currently are

sounds like particles are causing issues, such as fire. basically it sounds like whenever your character is set on fire, this is causing your character to disappear. try playing with the settings above to see if that helps.

if it does not, then i will take a good look at your mods, and advise further.

out of curiosty, can you give yourself the Firestorm Spell, and use it, and let me know if that spell also causes your character to disappear. if you do not match level, simply use the Console Command: TGM

yo Old hand i am having this issue also my character just vanishes i am using an ENB and i will not test what i fixd to see if it happens again also i get this bad like lag spike before i vanish also i get these random Freezes crash and i really cant put my finger on what is causing this

I have the same problem. No ENB. I use Mod2. Other modes do overwrite some portion of XP32, such as "MoreNastyCritters_v12_02SE", "Schlongs of Skyrim SE v1_1_4", and "Animal SOS SE". But they make changes to the animal sections only under the mesh folder.

 

I didn't have the Firestorm spell at the time. So I used the Healing spell instead. When casting the spell, my character was still invisible. But when I finished casting, he appeared very briefly, then disappeared again. He remained invisible even when using RaceMenu at this point. The only way to fix it is to save the game, exit, and reload. One other way is to simply get away from the area. if I walk far enough, the character appears again. But if I go back to the same area, it disappears. It's as if there is an invisible wall that makes the character disappear. Very weird.

me too, happens sometime if i passed certain point in interior. i had no choice except to load recent save to fix it.
