NPC Dialogues do not work after switching to Vortex. (Skyrim SE)

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

I was using NMM for my mods and it worked fine. Sadly the site Nexus Mods ditched NMM and uses Vortex now aswell, so I switched to it.

My mods are kinda f*#@ed up. My immersive armor mod does not work aswell. The biggest problem though is that the NPC do not have any voices and I totally do not know that do to now.

Nope, you can still download it at github

The staff has said NOT TO IMPORT if you already have a working setup with NMM

Uff, I did not know.. so what should I do? Deinstall my Vortex and reinstall NMM and download all my mods again? Or is there a shortcut? I am using the Vortex version: 0.17.5

You already have all your mods downloaded, in your Download Folder that you used for NMM and then Vortex.

Which information do I have to give? What should I do now? Should I deinstall Vortex and install NMM again? But I can not find a site where I can download mods for NMM.

There aren't "Mods for NMM" and "Mods for Vortex"

Mods can be used in either Mod Manager.

If your NPCs aren't talking then you probably need to fix your Skyrim Installation first

How do I fix my Skyrim installation?

And what I meant it that I used Nexus Mods to install my mods and there is an on option where you can automatically install your mods for Vortex, it used to be NMM.

THEY JUST CHANGED THE TEXT ON THE BUTTON FROM NMM to VORTEX, you can still use ANY Mod Manger to Download Mods.

To fix your Skyrim Installation, you're better off deleting your Skyrim DATA folder and re-verifying the files through Steam.

Can you tell me how I install those mods on NMM, when the button is set on Vortex? I found this in the description of NMM "The Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) was a piece of software developed in-house at Nexus Mods between 2011 and 2016. Since December of 2016 it is now End-of-Line and no longer officially supported by the Nexus Mods team, except in very rare cases (e.g. a security issue that needs to be patched). It is now replaced by Nexus Mod's current mod manager, Vortex."
