Hey Guys,

 

So glad to see that we are starting an Outward modding community! Lets hope the Dev's provide a creation kit for us modders! I work in Digital painting and Textures for SureAI Enderal and would love to help out with textures if anyone is interested in making better meshes then the ones the Dev's provided in the vanilla.

 

It would be great to see body mods for the first step in my opinion... These Potato's are brutal to look at! Don't get me wrong, I know it was 10 guys, I actually know them and love them... But lets be real here! We need updated bodies. And after that it would be sweet to see some HDT on those outfits!

 

Anyhoo, I made this topic in case anyone else wanted to express joy tat we finally have a Nexus page for OUTWARD!!! Woot!

Nice and I agree the potatoes are indeed really brutal to look at..lol

 

I would like to see a map mod that let us see where we are. I think it would be a very nice QOL mod! WISH HAS COME TRUE YAY!

Honestly the I think there are a few things that would make a huge impact on gameplay...

 

1: Change UI icons to be much more simplified and high contrast. A.K.A couch friendly.

2: More stuff in the game world. More trees, more NPCS. It would be sweet to occasionally see friendly human NPCs walking around in the world also, going from one town to another or whatever. Just to make it feel more alive.

3: More quests.

4: Fully remappable controller.

 

Obviously cosmetic stuff is fun and all, but I just want the game to feel more polished and complete.The faces don't bother me since I'm not exactly looking at NPC faces up close.

i've made a little list of what would be nice to have :

 

wendigo skull helmet

hyena pet companion skill (we have the useless bird so i dont think it will be hard

polymoph mage or summoner class (as monsters, maybe hyena/wendigo/maticore tiers)

monk class maybe with caestus weapons for left and right hands and kick skills improved

full set armors get bonuses to make them interesting to loot/craft (why bother dropping the rare bandit set or crafting copal? give them speed boost or poison negate maybe)

some forge sytem to improve mid game weapons

To add to dammerung list.

 

I would love a wizard palemaster like they have in DDO who is a wiz that is undead and focuses on necromancy, not like in some games where that means summoning a bunch of undead critter to fight for them, but has different spells which are necro based.

 

Level 1: Hypnotism, Jump, Expeditious Retreat, Feather Fall , Merfolks, Night shield (Clicky),
Level 2: Blur, Knock, Web, Resist Energy, Gust of Wind
Level 3: Displacement, Rage, Haste, Magic Circle Against Evil, Fireball (for opening doors)
Level 4: Negative Energy Burst, Death Aura, Crushing Despair, Dimension Door, Phantasmal Killer (Scroll: Fire shield, Enervation)
Level 5: Niac's Biting Cold, Eladar’s Electric Surge, CloudKill, Teleport, Mind Fog (Scroll: Break enchantment)
Level 6: Circle of Death, Death to Undeath, Chain Lightning, Necrotic Ray,Disintegrate, (Scroll: Shadow Walk, Stone to Flesh, Greater Heroism)
Level 7:Mass Invisibility, Finger of Death, Mass Hold Person, Otto's Sphere of Dancing, Waves of Exhaustion, Banishment (Situational) (Scroll: Greater Teleport)
Level 8: Symbol of Death, Otto's Irresistible Dance, Polar Ray, Black Dragon Bolt, Power word: Stun or Trap the Soul and Sunburst ( FOT)
Level 9: Power Word: Kill, Mass Hold Monster, Energy Drain, Wail of the Banshee, Dominate Monster or Meteor Swarm

Would love to see the following mods if possible;

 

Food and ingredients no longer spoil

Player Icon on Map, showing direction the player is looking

Discoverable locations for the map with icons and names (plants, mining spots, chests, caves, rare spawn locations)

new passive skill that highlights and/or displays on radar nearby harvestable plants and mining spots

Nearby Enemies displayed as red dots on radar

Mini map, with icons and hopefully enemies displayed

burnt Health, Stam, and mana regen (configurable)

pets (maybe that have buffs, or help in combat)(extra point for a sexy succubus pet)

 

and a nude mod, cause every game deserves one :wink:

 

 

Loving the mods that are out so far, and really appreciate the work being done on these, hope some of the ones on my list are doable.

One thing I think the game needs is Rune Magic to be re made.

 

A good example is Dragon Age Origins Rune magic where you placed large runes on the ground that could buff, heal, explode, stop and much more.

 

If rune magic could be wiped and you could set runes to 3 runes per spell. Plus maybe make it so you can move and cast runes more smoothly.

 

I like rune magic but its quite underwhelming and a few of the spells are just worthless.
