I NEED to change the load order!

Recommended Posts

Assuming you are talking about plugin load order and not install order, there are several ways to change load order in Vortex. The easiest way, in my opinion, is simply to assign the overwriting plugin to a group loading after the plugin you want to overwrite. Double-click the .esp name and open up the plugin details panel on the right side of the plugins page. Locate the "Group" box and make your group assignment there.

On the other hand, if you are talking about overlapping files and file conflict resolution, then you deal with that on the mods page and not the plugins page. Vortex will notify you if there is a file conflict. You then have the opportunity to set a "load after" rule to resolve the conflict.

You may find it helpful to consult the built-in Vortex Knowledge Base for further details.

Nvm, I found, after an uninstall/reinstall, that while the mod WeightLess (SSE Edition)v1.4 installs in one of two configurations. It worked fine in NMM, so I 'assumed' it still worked. Instead what Vortex did was install AND TURN ON both sets of options. I am notifying the mod author in case it is on his side.

Done, hope things get fixed.

What's to fix? I installed WeightLess v1.4 eight months ago with no problems. After I saw your last post, I tried to replicate the problem you described by reinstalling the mod. I could not replicate it. The mod installed with the fomod option that I had selected and with nothing more. Moreover, Vortex did not automatically enable the mod.
