Installing Mods

Ok, so I have been trying to install some mods of MHW and I keep trying but it just won't work. I have seen multiple explanations on how to do it, and none worked. I just need an up to date explanation on how to install mods. Do I need winzip? Do you create the nativePC file or is it alreadt there? Do I need a mod manager? I just need a solid tutorial on how to do this.

So, you'll need to find where you installed Monster Hunter World. If it's the default then you go to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Monster Hunter World\

Once you are in the Monster Hunter World folder, you will then create the nativePC folder. You drop all your mods in there and if the Mod Author did it correctly you should be able to extract the files that are in the nativePC folder and drop them in your Monster Hunter World nativePC folder. From there you should boot up your game and the mods will be there.

See I had this problem and it's simple once you figure it out.

As what Daveurr stated before which is correct, but a character mod works after you've equipped the skin it's supposed to replace.

I'll give you an example: The 2B mod requires you to make and equip the full female brigade skin in full. Once you've done that quit the game then download the specified 2B skin mod you want and extract it to the monster hunter world specified folder. Then log into the game and voila the mod will work.

What if you wanted to install multiple mods?

I tried renaming the NativePC folder of the MHW directory, and then put the NativePC folder of the mod into it, but it doesn't seem to know its location. It only works when I put the NativePC folder of the mod (unformatted) directly into the MHW directory.

I would appreciate the help.

This snippet shows the NativePC folder of the mod in the MHW directory. This works for me. Any formatting of the mod folder doesn't work.

nobody f***ing knows how to make this work. I've been all over the internet and nobody has a fix. They just make a thread, some people speculate, and it's never fixed. It's the simplest thing in the world. Why doesn't it work? I did the only thing needed to install it, and it doesn't work.
