ezg1969 Posted April 19, 2019 Share Posted April 19, 2019 I know how to do this on NMM but am still trying to learn vortex ( I just installed and starterd using it a few hours ago).If I do a manual download, do I download to steam/common/skyrim/data or do I download to the folder vortex video told me to create(games/skyrim)?And I assume once it's downloaded to the proper folder I can select the open folder at the top of the mods section, find where I downloaded it and choose install?Thanks in advance for any helpful responses and big thanks to the people who make mods. NEVER Download Mods to your game Data folder Download the mod to the DOWNLOAD folder you set up in Vortex. Then you can click on INSTALL FROM FILE, and Vortex will open the download folder, where you can pick the mod. Why aren't you just downloading the mod with Vortex? rmm200 Posted April 19, 2019 Share Posted April 19, 2019 If you are downloading from a site other than Nexusmods, you won't have the option to download with Vortex.Download where your downloads normally go, open that folder, and drag the mod to the Vortex Drop files area.At that point, it will be exactly as if you downloaded using Vortex, and the directory shown above applies.
