BlackMageBestMage Posted April 27, 2019 Share Posted April 27, 2019 Not sure if anyone has seen it yet, but Final fantasy 9 had a mod mad for it that took the existing textures of that game, put them through an AI that does some spooky magic and makes the texture look far better. I have very little modding experience, and the one time I was trying to get into it no one really was able to help the issues I was having, so I would not be able to do it. But if someone was able to put the textures of the game through that AI and put them back into the game, I think the game would look a lot better. The textures for the world in general seem to be largely the same from the ps2 version, minus the original filtering. It seems they were put through a sharpening filter of sorts (I am not super technical on these terms, I just know the world textures did not get as much love as the player textures did) Has anyone tried anything like this yet?
