darkestdungeon Using vortex with GOG copy of Darkest Dungeon

For some reason I seem to be lacking the Darkest.exe file with my GOG install of Darkest Dungeon. The game still runs, not sure how, but I can't manually select the install file in Vortex because it's looking for Darkest.exe. Any workarounds?

Are you sure Vortex is asking for the darkest.exe file, and not just asking which FOLDER the darkest.exe is in?

A lot of people make the mistake of thinking when Vortex asks them to show Vortex where any game exe is, it's only asking which FOLDER it's in, so when you navigate to the game folder, it will look like the folder is empty, because Vortex only wants the FOLDER Location of the exe.

 

Is that's what's happening?

Yep it explicitly says it can't find darkest.exe.... and when I figured out where it was at, it's in the folder _windowsnotsteam for the GOG copy, it then complained that darkest.exe wasn't in the data folder. Which i'm fine with doing but I don't want it to break the game obviously.
