borderlands2 Adding splash damage to general weapon parts

Hey,

 

I am trying to figure out how to add splash damage to the maliwan grip? I have tried several different firingmodes and weapon part ids but I cannot figure it out. I am developing a mod that gives unique attributes to every weapon part for a huge variety in gunplay.
