SSE Simple monk hood edit [REQUEST]

Hey guys, I've been trying to take the giant scarf off the female monk hood (or at least reduce it) for a while but with no success. I imagine it would be simple for someone more experienced than I. I find that it covers up so much of the model, I'd prefer to have just the hood, maybe with just a little scarf If it had to still be there.

 

Roughly marked in red below is what I was trying to reduce/remove.

 

Any help?
