VORTEX - Failed to Connect to Meta Database (Problem, need help fixing)

Hi everyone, so I had just ifnished moving all of my mods from NMM to Vortex without import tool, and I was cleaning out and checking for compatibility, I had too many weather mods that were clashing and conlficting with NAT, the one from the Mod List I was following. So i was trying to delete the mods, both archive and mod from Vortex, ( I clicked on Delete on Obsidian Weathers and Vivid Weathers + ticked all boxes on the pop up menu, as i had done before) but once i had done it, Vortex didnt delete any of the mods, so i waited a bit hoping for it to delete to no success. Therefore, I then re-did the deleting process. It still wasn't working and so i closed Vortex. When i Re-opened it, it came up saying that both Obsidian Weathers and Vivid weathers were gone/deleted from my folders when vortex without votex, while it was closed. It said that i shouldn't do that again as it can compromise my mods or something like that talking about the metadata or meta database (something along the lines of that). The next thing is another thing pops up saying;

Microsoft word contains screenshot of Vortex

"Failed to Connect to Meta Database. Please Check that there is no other instance of Vortex running. IO error: Lockfile C:\ProgramData\Vortex\metadb\LOCK: The Process cannot accessteh file because it is being used by another process."

The options given were to "Quit" (Close Vortex) or "Retry" ( temporarily closing tab for >1 second and then reopening no matter how many times i try)

Image is most recent twitter post please dont spam i just want this issue solved, so don't be a annoying. (image to big to upload as link here)@https://twitter.com/Calrizion

The Windows I had open were : Blizzard's battle.net client , Spotify ,Sound Mixer , and a file explorer to where i had skyrim installed and a file explorer to my downloads.

Someone please help i am realitively new to modding and it took me about 4 months downloading these mods with shitty internet (500kb/s max) while balancing this, school and a life.

Just ask to clarify if this wasnt clear enough cos i don't want people to go away cos i wasnt clear enough.

Thanks

Quickest, easiest thing for you to try is reboot your computer.

If a Vortex task is hung up holding a lock, this will get rid of it.

Trying to decide if by "Delete" you mean "Remove".

You can select groups of mods using Shift Click, but even there the only options are Remove, Enable, or Disable.

Of course you should never delete files yourself from the Mods directory or the Game directory. Vortex has to do that.

Thanks, totally worked. And i did mean remove sorry. However, i did remove them with vortex however i was probably too impatient and/or it had crashed/not responding so I exited/closed Vortex to then re-launch it and it thought i had removed the mod without it using the files, sooo.

But, this was probably pretty obvious, it's just i am newish to modding and i thought it may make it worse. Thanks again, Problem Solved
