Vortex change the format of the save file?

Ok after beating my head over this that vortex has nothing to save game cleaner not working any more.

Well I kept a good number of save files prior to vortex and they all open just fine.

Now on vortex and I make a new save game and the "Save Game tool cleaner"

can not even open any save skyrim LE that is done in vortex.

Did vortex change the info in the save game structure that does not save save games like they use too? I understand Vortex has the right to modify the way the save game is saved or controlled by Vortex, but being told the past few days Vortex should not effect that save game tool, but actual it seems they are not compatible anymore.

Hopefully there are people using vortex and the tool works for them, then it would give me hope to look further into making it work on my end.

1) I recommend using Resaver: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76776/?

2) Open Resaver.

3) Navigate to Documents/My Games/Skyrim/Saves

4) Sort this directory by date. Your most recent save is in the most recent date folder (names are gibberish)

5) Open that most recent folder. There are your save games for this profile.

6) Sort this directory by date. Your most recent save is in the most recent date file.

7) Open this file in Resaver. Do what you normally do to clean it and save.

Vortex does not, in any way, shape or form, alter the save games.

That's correct, Vortex only reads save games, it doesn't modify them at all. It can't, not even accidentally.

Your save games not working any more has to be a result of the mods you have installed.
