I just recently downloaded Vortex and am having problems with it in regard to load order. I loaded a save game recently that had a area that a mod changed and immediately noticed that the terrain was messed up, so I checked my load order and noticed that it seems Vortex has somehow messed the order up that it is the cause of the terrain mess. I am at a loss for what to do and am worried I will have to uninstall everything and start from scratch. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

First i hope you actually did let the inbuilt Loot order the plugins?

In Vortex you can change what group the plugin should be in. Duoble click on plugin and i right pane just change the group.

Or you can press "Manage Rules" and set a rule for the plugin....

Or drag from dependencies icon on the plugin you want to make rule for to the dependencies icon of the mod you want it to load after.

If you use the "Change Group" solution and the plugins you want custom rules for still loads wrong you vcan just make a rule according to above solutions.

You can ofc even make your own groups and descide in what order to load. "Manage Group"- function

(If you are using a savegame made during the use of another mod manager i belive it is best to start from scrach)

If your issue is one of overlapping files only and not plugin load order, as was discussed in the previous comment, then go to your mods page. There you can use the file conflict resolution feature to determine winners and losers in the case of mesh, texture, script, etc., conflicts.
