HELP NEEDED! with CBBE and HDT SMP armors

I installed HDT SMP Armors in Skyrim SE step by step as i found on internet but, there's a problem with these armors i.e. The physics is working fine and everything else seems to be ok except for the fact that whenever i equip any of the HDT armors they tend to change my characters bodyshape back to the shape that comes default with CBBE SE but, vanilla clothing and armors retains the custom body slide preset shape that i made and i feel content with them.....but the HDT SMP Armors are heavily concerning me................ can anyone tell why is that and how can i wear my HDT armors on my custom bodyslide preset bodyshape Please Help!!!!!

Thanks everyone, the solution works but, after reshaping smp armor to custom body type the physics seems to stop working for that armor, what could I possibly be doing wrong?? also, its quite a tedious job to convert each and every part of outfit to custom shape so, is there any easy way for that??

a lot of clothing and armor mods have the outfits in bodyslide with names like "author name-outfit set-clothing piece". an easy way to set groups of clothing to a certain body type is to type the first part of the name into "Outfit Filter" in the top right corner. then click "Batch Build..." in the bottom left corner. from here, you can de-select individual clothing items. hope this helps :)

In addition, if you use bodyslide to fit armor, I believe that if you want physics, then you either need to first apply the CBBE-Physics or CBBE-Special body to the player itself ie, the "nude version of the player", in order to attach the physics enabled skeleton (could be wrong, but that's how I've done it and mine do have physics)

So for instance, in Bodyslide:

  1. Outfit/body - CBBE Body Physics (or CBBE Body - Special...which afaik also has physics and cough, other properties)
  2. Preset - CBBE Athletic (or some other preset you've downloaded and installed) (ie choose the
nude version, not the clothed version of a given bodyslide if both are available)
  3. Adjust sliders as you like or leave at default slider values
  4. *** if you mod the bod, (tweak using sliders in step 3) make sure to save the changes under a custom bodyslide name so you can refer to it again later!!!
  5. Click Build.

This builds the basic player body and sets it for physics.

You'd then go about fitting your armor/clothing.

I do it as follows for one-offs

  1. Preset - MyCustomCBBEAtheletic_Clothed (ie the clothed variant of my customized body, which btw can be a bit of a pita, since they're not synced with the "nude" variant, so, for instance, if you fiddle with the breasts it can be a little tricky to introduce the same changes into the clothed variant correctly, since they're basically the same but pushed up and compressed in like clothing would do. same advise wrt saving a custom named body so it can be referred to again later on unless you're just using the stock clothed variant)
  2. Outfit/Body - Some outfit. for example: [sunLeong] Trivene Outfit No fur -CBBE (which happens to be one I did fit for my fem character)
  3. Normally (at least in my exp) the armor clothing will auto fit to the chosen preset body type. IDK you *might have to do adjustments here. I haven't.
  4. Click Build

As 9jukebox16 said, you can also use batch builds to convert multiple armors to fit your player. \

Oh...one other thing, you'll probably need to do some footwork on this, but the "build morphs checkbox might be important for certain outfits. I recall using it a few times, due to directions offered on a given mod's directions or in the discussions at the mod entries on nexus, but off hand I can't quite recall the exact nature or specific usage. This *could apply to HDT stuff, although like I said, I don't quite remember

My Two bits of unrequested advise: Careful with batch, All my female NPCs got the same bod due to my ignorance early on. I've remedied it a little using a mod that randomizes bodies but they're all basically the same gd body just taller and shorter with slightly different sized butts and boobs... Don't be dumb like I was. Only use build and do singles when fiddling with the body itself. And be careful when choosing groups to batch.

Sorry for rekindling an old flame, but this post here helped me immensely. Thanks for your step-by-step tutorial. =)
