Brush With Death CTD

Hello, I am experiencing a CTD upon entering the painting. The loading bar fills and I hear the portal sound, and then CTD. The game seems to be otherwise stable.

 

Can texture mods be a problem with this level? I am using the "1 Oblivion Upscaled Textures Default" I also have some misc tree and grass texture mods

I've tried disabling the All Natural and OblivionReloaded ESPs but it still crashed.

Any advice is much appreciated. I remember playing the painting level years ago and would really like to play it again. Thanks

Did you try to uninstall the alternative textures and meshes via Oblivion mod remover?

Thanks for the reply. I haven't used Oblivion Mod Remover before, I'll give it a try. Modding this game has become a lot more involved than it was on release.

 

To be honest, I'm on my 6th reinstall and finally have the mods working correctly. I'm just really afraid to touch anything at the moment. Not to mention that I'm currently lost somewhere in the Shivering Isles. Seeing as I'm having no other issues, I'll probably do the painting level towards the end of my game.

Textures really could not cause a crash. Unfortunately, I really don't see anything in your load order that could cause your problem either.
