aerkfeed Posted June 24, 2019 Share Posted June 24, 2019 I'm about to buy ssd soon but i don't want to reinstall my window and steam, So my question is if i leave my window and steam on my old hdd and then just install Skyrim SE, MO2 and mods on the ssd Will it make any diffrence? Will my game load faster? Also if i install another 8GB of ram(my current RAM is 8GB) will the game automatically make use of it? Thank you. HeyYou Posted June 24, 2019 Share Posted June 24, 2019 If the game, and it's various utilities, and mods... are installed on the SSD, then yes, you will see MUCH faster load times. (and possibly less stutter, and other problems associated with loading from the HDD.) Adding more RAM is never really a bad idea, but, depending on which O/S you are running, you probably won't see much in the way of stability/performance improvement.
