I think it's so profoundly foolish and shortsighted if they are only making this available for SE edition. The standard edition is taxing enough on the average computer that we already need to lower display settings and resolutions to get it to run smoothly without lag. Most of us do not own super high end, $2,000+ gaming pc's. Also, Skyrim standard has tons more mods.

koolkid2 wrote: Skyrim is taxing? Are you joking? Even a 300 dollar pc today could run that game even the special edition isn't that more taxing. If you're trying to game on intel integrated graphics- there's your problem. Most people playing skyrim have at least a semi-decent computer.

I have a $700 pc and it can run pretty much anything on high settings, so the statement that you need a $2,000+ gaming pc is completely ridiculous. If you have to lower display settings and your resolution to get it to run smoothly without "lag" then my guy you need an upgrade because you're running on a 1998 IBM machine.

If I got even a $125 graphics card (making my pc worth $425) I could run a good amount of new games at high settings 1080p and I could run this game maxed out with garanteed more than 60fps. I have 16gb ram at 2400mhz too. A $2000 pc is not needed at all and if you can't run this game at 720p without lag you NEED an upgrade to play games decently. That or switch to console.

I built my current rig for 800 bucks and it runs every AAA title on the market today at full HD on all ultra/max settings. Maybe learn a bit about computers before you make yourself look this dumb online.
