SKSE64 install
[ Installation ]
1. Copy the .dll and .exe files to your Skyrim SE directory. This is usually in your Program Files folder under Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\. If you see files named SkyrimSE and SkyrimSELauncher, this is the correct folder. Do not copy these files to the Data folder as with a normal mod. The "src" folder is only useful for programmers, most users can ignore it.
2. Copy the .pex files in Data\Scripts\ into the Data\Scripts\ folder of your installation. The .pex files are needed by all users of SKSE.

Okay so I know this is a common error since I have lost two nights worth of sleep looking into this, but I am having a problem with Race Menu. I am almost certain there is an easy fix to this but I am new to modding and so far have been doing a good job. My only concern however, is that some new mods I can't get to work, all have to do with Race Menu. I do also get a SkyUI error but from what I was reading, It probably is Race Menu. Okay, so now to the nitty gritty. I get the error message NiOverride plugin not detected, Skse 64 isn't "running" properly, and as for race menu errors, I get codes (0) (1) (3). I know I have all files necessary, I am certain they are in the right locations, and I am absolutely certain that my script extender is functioning right. Again, I could be missing something as I am learning all this, but I don't know what to do. Worst case scenario, I just play the game with some missing features, but I'd like to hopefully have all features functioning. I am also running a 64 bit skyrim or in easy terms Skyrim Special edition. If it helps any, I can update this comment to contain an image of the errors I am running into, as well as a full list of my active mods. Thank you for your time.

If you're using Vortex it's using the wrong folder to identify it's location it places it in steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Mopy go in and tell it manually to look in steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition. That fixed it for me.

What are you talking about?

"steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Mopy" is the installation folder of WryeBash

First off, the reason Racemenu isn't working properly is it sounds like you have the Skyrim LE version of it installed because that's the only version that comes with "NIOverride"

Are you using the Skyrim Special Edition version of Racemenu and SkyUI, or are you using the Skyrim LE (Oldrim) versions?

It sounds like you're using the LE versions

"steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Mopy" is the installation folder of WryeBash

I know but Vortex placed SKSE in that folder don't ask me why but it did. Once I changed the destination in Vortex to the correct folder the error went away. That's how I found the problem by checking Vortex's installation information of SKSE. and that's how I knew it was pointing to the wrong folder. 20 years of troubleshooting computers and software has taught me anything is possible never leave any stone un-turned. When I looked in that folder I saw WryBash so I thought it odd that Vortex choose that folder for SKSE.

That fixed the error for me. End of line.

I mean, I could check but I'm almost certain I am using the special edition for Race menu. As for SkyUI I would have to double check

Yeah no, so I just double checked and I have both SkyUI and Racemenu installed in special edition. I swear this is all driving me nuts
